Vikings still good? I stopped watching after ragnar died.

I only watch ep1 but then after format my phone didnt install kodi so not sure what happened. S6 is around the corner i think.

S5 and S6 is more historical based since they're based more on the anglo-saxon chronicles.

Any news on viking?

Finally watch S5. Exited to know which side will Rollo join.

Historical note: Bjorn Ironside was a legendary king of sweden, the first of the munso dynasty while Ivar went back to England (possibly never left after the first invasion of the great heathen army) by the time Alfred became King of Wessex

Barbarians on Netflix. Dramatized but based on as much of historical records as possible except few which does not deviate much like Armenius is Varus adopted son (it was never mentioned in any historical records) and Armenius became Equite (Knight) during the campaign (he became Equite earlier which allows him to become Prefect of Auxilia Equites) for example.

Great points are Germanic tribes are speaking Germans (albeit modern Germans) and Romans are speaking Latins (albeit modern Latin).

Recommended series to those who enjoy history particularly late Roman antiquity period.

Yeah, Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia were mentioned many times by Raymond Reddington.  smile.gif

They didn't mention Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso. I wonder why?  hmm.gif

On one of the episode even got a character who's supposed to be a Malaysian delegation at the UN or something.

Nah...it's slow, super serious and has no likeable character. All those exciting scenes you've seen in the ads and screenshots only happen in the finale and it's pretty underwhelming seeing it played out.
Go watch Spartacus instead.

It's more of a documentary rather than an actual movies.

Barbarians series good?

Pretty much trying to stick to written history.

High point: Roman characters actually spoke ancient Latin, not modern Vatican version of Latin.

Low point: Germanic tribes spoke modern Germans. Speaking Old English is probably closer to actual language spoken by the germanic tribes those days.
