Wow...great news! Thanks for sharing.
May I know do we need to bring the bill or just give account number to pay?

Successfully paid 3 times to the same unifi account at the Sam's Groceria @ Nu Sentral yesterday using Wise.
Applied the member card as well with 2 free gifts plus Rm10 cash voucher.
They confirmed TNB can be paid from now on too.
I didn't plan to pay TNB. I'll do that next month.
Great avenue for Wise with grocery CB!!

Anyway, what two free gifts that you got when you signed up for Sam's Family Card?

yeah, i received twice. things like this happen on and off. but usually they will only charge once based on the slip that i sign, while the other will be cancelled since there is no slip and no signature. that's why i confirm the problem is from aeon big. further to confirm this, aeon big posted my earlier 3 transactions without delay, while this fourth transaction of mine was posted late and twice.

Thank you very much for your clarification.  smile.gif  As you explained, the second transaction will eventually be voided, since there is no slip and signature.

If you had some free time back then, I would like to suggest that you call Hong Leong Customer Service to notify them about the double transactions, on that very day of the transaction. Even though the same amount of money has been charged twice to your credit card, both of the transactions would have different 6-digit approval code.

The Hong Leong Customer Service Officer would have given you the approval code, of the second transaction that is without slip and your signature. With the approval code, you can approach the chief cashier of the AeonBig to void the transaction.

Mention to the chief cashier that the approval code for the first transaction with the slip and your signature is totally different from the approval code for the second transaction. Emphasize that AeonBig will receive money from the first transaction, and they should void the second (incorrect) transaction with the approval code you give to them.

Once they void the second transaction, a charge slip showing the voided transaction will be printed from the AeonBig credit card terminal. You should sign the merchant copy, and you should then receive the customer copy of the charge slip.

This is how I would solve the problem on that day. Maybe the credit card experts here can recommend better ways to solve this issue.

Using this way, the merchant (AeonBig), the acquirer bank (Maybank who supplied the credit card terminal to AeonBig), and card issuer bank (Hong Leong Bank who give you WISE card) are duly informed of the double transactions on that way. In my opinion, it is better than to wait till your credit card statement is generated. By then, it may be too late to void the second transaction, if this second transaction is not automatically cancelled by then.

It is just my opinion.  smile.gif

Happened to me a few times before. I remember once was from a restaurant. Got twice sms. Asked casher did u swipe twice. She said once. Not satisfied then call cs. CS said 2 transactions float. Asked to deal with merchant the bank can't do anything. Called the restaurant again then only they admit swiped twice. I gave them the approval code from cs and asked them to cancel it. They said only one time in system the one I signed. So nothing to cancel. The whole thing very troublesome. At the end unbilled transaction show once.

The other time from Giant. Sms twice again when I left the counter. Oh not again...
Asked Giant they said swipe once and I signed once.
This time I din call cs. Thinking if posted twice I will dispute. End up transaction posted once.

Sometimes u r there and u see the guy swipe nothing printout then they swipe again. U sign once. This can happen quite easily. I notice even some bank's dispute form has an option "duplicate transaction" for u to tick. Just could not take the long path every time. I believe as long as we signed once we have the case.

Cheers.

Edit: But if it was a Paywave cc. I dunno how to dispute d.

yes, exactly. good to get a reply from someone who faced this type of situation before. as for me, it happened to me quite frequently because i swiped more than 50x per month combining all my cc. if 0.1% chance to kena, i will kena once every 2 months lol...

yes, i only used the form tick duplicate transaction and it's done. not only with hlb but to my other bank cc as well. i always received the refund back and i never waste my time dealing directly with merchant before.

what i'm more frustrated is not about the duplicate transaction but about the late posting due to the duplicate transaction. if not because of this duplicate transaction problem, it will not be posted late. although it didn't cause me to lose my whole month's cb, but it broke my record of not fully maximising the rm100 monthly cb. vmad.gif

Yeah, double posting we can dispute. Late posting is tricky.
I mostly will not go on 28th to Aeon Big. Due to not normally on weekend. If I ever go, I will use PBVS to get 5% + 6%. Can't risk it on WISE. And mostly I would have max out WISE b4 28th. tongue.gif

That is why I always tell the cashier not to use paywave.

Good advice. I'll practice that from now on.

But not sure how would that change if the PIN is implemented in 2016. No signature again like paywave.

at least there is a receipt..i prefer to have a paper trail.

They will produce the slip even for paywave. Just no need to sign. In cases where no printout due to ignorant or newbie cashiers or system glitches, they might swipe again to get another printout.
I agree with signature is better in case of dispute.
