Looking to buy the new LCD TV on next January too to replace my old sony bravia...but saving it for the one that can support 1080p ... anyone knows any other brands beside Sony Bravia X as an option for pricing factors....

The Star In-Tech mentioned today that it's pointless to have 1080p with screens of less than 50inches. They wrote that you'll hardly notice the different between 1080i and 1080p. Is it true?

Correct me if Im wrong as I am n00bie in terms of LCD TV..but planning to add another console (I mean in the future..... that support 1080p)to pair with this TV...for its blueray capability for movies..heard that the pic will be scaled down to 480p if 1080p isnt supported..again..correct me if im wrong here..i guess..String is an expert in this matter as he is enjoying this feature already.....
