Latest gen Plasma's doesn't suffer burn-in as easily these days. When buying Plasmas check the panel res. Some plasmas still uses non-square size like 1024x768 or 1024x1080.
When it comes to color, especially black levels, LCD still cannot beat Plasma. Hehe.
Still waiting for BenQ 1080P displays to be released. Can see on the website but they're nowhere to be found. Should retails around 10k or less for 32".

It's not no burn-in. Just harder to get permanent burn-in. Compared to 2nd/3rd gen plasmas.
But be sure to run-in/break-in the plasma first when it's new. That helps a bit.

That one just to make it easier to clear burn-in image. As opposed to playing something just to clear it. Some plasmas have built in software that shifts the images slightly from time to time to help prevent burn in.

QUOTE(zaakath @ Dec 5 2006, 09:27 AM) 5.) Asthetics wise Samsung wins hands down in sleekness and has the option to turn on game mode? Does this really make a difference.? Thanks for any advice Depending on manufacturer, game mode means it bypass the internal scaler. Less lag. Some call it Native mode.
