Have you got the coiling tool? What I do with my nickel cool is I wrap them tight, then I pull it from both ends and push it together again. The springy nature of the wire gives me perfectly spaced coils every time. Been running dual nickel coils on my Velocity without any problem.


I've heard Titanium is better and much easier to work with though, so I've ordered some from FT.

You're absolutely right. I think most people don't realise how low the resistance of Nickel us compared to Kanthal. When I use 26awg Nickel, I do between 10-15 wraps for a dual coil setup.

I've been using the Velocity Tobeco Clone I got from CloudGear Vape Studio in SS15 for 2 months now. No problems whatsoever. I liked the Velocity so much I ordered a second one from FastTech and I can confirm their Velocity (1:1) clone is absolute garbage. One of the post holes is too big so I can't even tighten the grub screws. There's no 'locking' mechanism like the original and Tobeco clone so I have to always make sure the airflow holes are aligned. Would definitely not recommend the Velocity clone from FastTech to anyone.

If I recall correctly, I paid around 60 bucks for it but it was the last one they had in stock that day. Perhaps you should call them or contact them on FB before heading there.

I don't know much about mech mods but there are so many Vape Shops in the SS15 area.
