for comparison purposes

my own take of unicorn milk cost me around 30 sen per ml after buying stuff in bulk. so a 30ml bottle would cost you RM9. 5 or 6 flavourings.

the original (leaked version) of unicorn milk, if you try to make some, would cost you almost double that amount.

generally my own original us-grade ejuice recipes would cost me around 25-40 sen per ml. 5-8 flavourings.

now, if you use locally-made flavourings, like most local ejuice brands do, it would cost you around RM2-5 bucks per bottle, which is around 5-16 sen per ml. 4 flavourings max (flavour+sweetener+colouring+another flavour maybe), and china-made Nic.

and whatever shit that guy wrote, he failed to understand that you CANNOT and SHOULD NOT use bakery-grade/food-grade/super-grade VG and PG. only USP grade, which is a lot more expensive. you can't even use food grade PG and VG for your dog food, that's how disgusting those things are.

food for thought: if you're like me, and tried making and tasting and vaping US flavourings for quite some time, it's easy to clone US ejuices. for instance, got this guy who wanted to buy my stuff in bulk, and when I met him he was praising this ejuice called aquarius or something made by Twelve I think. some mojito and orange and something I forgot. tried puffing a few times, can guess already that they use Capella-branded flavourings like orange creamsicle, rum, mint, etc. so to those who DIY, keep trying, and never forget to experiment and explore!

inawera's cappucino is superb from what I know, but we don't have it here sad.gif

make your own coffee flavouring bro!

1 cup PG
1/2 cup decaf ground coffee beans

mix well

put in a glass box
double zip lock bag it

put in freezer for a week.

then tapis the mixture elok2, throw away the coffee beans, and use the PG after you filter it. try 5% flavour first, then 10%.

bila dapat try ur unicorn milk  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

Others love it, so I guess it must be good biggrin.gif

I use TPA strawberry though, as it's 50% cheaper than Capella's tongue.gif but also because of that I couldn't taste the strawberry exhale. but meh, close enough tongue.gif I substitute with my own mango just to have that fruity exhale, but I guess replacing it with juicy peach or raspberry would taste just as nice.

bila nak try? hmm... Just made 100ml for a guy who I guess first believed in me and made me trust myself that my stuff is good lel tongue.gif

Cost, can calculate by numbers but how about the time and effort that spent on experiment to get the right note of flavours? Impossible that you brew once then successful, sure got failure and disposal, then, that one cannot calculate with numbers.
In fact, good materials are not cheap!
*
that one is true. however, that R&D cost is one-time off only. and don't forget that the failures are still vapable, and not trash. because after all, what's not nice to you might be nice to others.

if you're trying to clone some other ejuice, failures will result in inaccurate reproduction only. not unvapable ejuice. still can sell, and mixed with other failed ejuices to make something interesting. like I have a few 10ml bottles of bubblegum ejuice that were not to my liking - some peach, some just plain bubblegum, some honeydew, some orange, etc - but when mixed, it turned into a cocktail bubblegum ejuice that was sedap nak mampos laugh.gif

for example, I made one mountain-dew juice that is insanely cold as fak. you dry inhale (without pressing the vape button) pon sejuk! rclxub.gif hate that shit for a long time. then malas season came, and i was left with just that ejuice (in large quantity la, got others tapi all sikit2). my wife wanted a refill, so I gave her that one. she said FUYOH SEDAPNYE. I was like eh? lel. gave some to her brothers and her friends, semua kata sedap gila doh.gif

basically even if you're selling, failed juices can still be used for your personal vaping needs.

I tried DHL, they messaged me when ready to ship and said can't do DHL as problems clearing customs in MY, so they're sending by EMS instead - let's see how long it takes.

Did first build on Aromamizer today, still needs some practise  biggrin.gif

Agree with you as you base on your experience but not simply tembak.
But there is 3 kind of brewer in this world.
1) Brew for fun
2) Sales &Marketing Brewer
3) Artistic brewer.

Like what you say,1 & 2 juice can still vape, but if u are type no3, you will just throw it cz it's not what you want.

so, for me i am type no3, and i wan perfection.

picasso's scrap drawings were selling for millions. sure it's lesser than his paintings, but still of legendary grade.

say, you're making Suicide Bunny Original Bunny clone.

10% Vanilla Custard TFA
7% Cake Batter CAP
4% Sweet Cream TFA
4% Bavarian Cream TFA

PG/VG 35/65 12mg

and you realise you don't have enough VC TFA. so you used 5% VC and 5% dulce de leche, or 10% dulce de leche TFA.

taste is slightly different. less custard-y but more milk-y. so it won't be a real clone, but it's still vapable and still tasty. and hey, you've just made yourself an original (derivation)! so I suppose... you're an artist now tongue.gif

so you have 15ml of this, and then you have 15ml of unicorn milk. mix them together, so now you have this crazy creamy strawberry custard with crazy creamy custard vape. maybe too custard-y for you, so you mixed that 30ml with 30ml of peanut butter single flavour and voila! you have yourself another new ejuice - peanut butter meringue pie, an ejuice with 8-12 flavourings that has 8 different levels of taste levels (see my solera steeping post).

however you wanna put it, that's even higher than any juice that you can buy biggrin.gif

Mine is too many to list. But here goes my try at it
3. Ingredients used
US made and etc. Some brewer I personally know get their ing from oversea but there's a rumour floating around that brands like Star Brand flavouring is also used locally. Now that ruffles my panties.

*
memang ada pon. especially Star's colouring. which most likely got shit stuff like paraben inside. but many if not most local ejuice got their flavourings from major bakery suppliers like bake with yen in chow kit.

FYI, bake well melawati's Sarsi flavour taste exactly like TPA root beer.

I personally would avoid getting local flavourings as not even the suppliers know what's inside the stuff. while generally flavourings are sort of safe (like miniscule amounts of acetoin, even TPA/Cap has flavourings which have acetoin and diacetyl), way too difficult to find one that's tasty (and concentrated).

Welp, time to find another shelf for DIY.
Who said DIY was cheap? laugh.gif Well on the bright side I'm not spending as much on new shiny things as I did before so half full, half empty kinda case I guess.

great feeling wei brows.gif especially when you realise that it's time you need a dedicated DIY room laugh.gif

you wouldn't want one. it's too..... lacking.

go with ego one at least. small enough, tasty enough.

QUOTE(nekkidgramma @ Oct 10 2015, 04:23 PM)
Noo.. I was hoping that was just a rumour. Tell me it ain't so. But then again I haven't buy any local liquids for a couple on months and stop going into a B&M shop unless for lepak during lunch hour so I guess that's enough for me to stick with brewing in my sink.
*
some star flavours has water in it, so they would boil it to remove the water. but whatever effect happened after boiling, nobody knows. scary wei
