Thank you for replying bro. I rebuilt my coil again but now it says 0.00 straight. Even with the extra coil that comes with my purchase.
*
Wait r u in power or joule mode??
For subtank, as long as ur coil is not touching nothing other than the 2poles it shudnt b like this. Even ur coil don touch the poles too.

Any photo to show??

Thanks for the link buddy. In your opinion, should I just get the starter kit or the mod alone with tank from other manufacturers like subtank mini or even the Goliath? Worth to spend extra?

I believe there's a few different head out there isn't it? Not sure the name but some just replace the head once it's out and the other type is rba which can be rebuild.

Which type of head you guys actually prefer to use? Cost wise, is it expensive to replace the head coil?

Pardon me for the questions. Just trying to learn.
*
Replace occ will be costly in long run.
If u r beginner jz go for subtank. Easiest to maintain and learn. Some better tank might be cheaper but wouldn't want to deal with leakage etc etc if u r not used to recoiling urself

what's the diff between an RTA and an RBA? would you recommend this over the Crown?

corret me if im wrong. RBA is the core thing inside. RTA is the whole tank where the core is a RBA laugh.gif

he's just correcting you on the terminology

so that beginners don't make the mistake of vaping straight of their rba off their hybrid mechs and risk venting their 5amp batteries

saying rba is just like saying atty, it could be either an rda or an rta while an rba head is specifically the rebuidable deck of tanks. regardless of what manufactures calls theirs c:
*
ohhhhhh. ok let me rephrase this to see if i truly understand. RBA is the wider term where it's built to be rebuildable, which can be a RDA or RTA.
whereas RBA head is specifically referring to the coil deck inside the tank. am i getting this right?

yup. and not trying to be mean but be careful with your mech mod. I did a quick scan of this thread and you seemed to have trouble understanding battery specs.

and to top it off another forumer even said that a 30amp rated battery is safe to be drained at 30amp :c

always, always have at least 5amp of headroom between your battery's max amp and what you're pulling. learn about the variants of ohm's law, learn about arcing, about what attys not to be used with hybrid top caps and vape safe c:
also in related news, someone buy my tugboat and anarchist comp camp! nods*
*
Yea thanks for the heads up. Yeap still trying to understand battery spec based on the page sifu gave me.

It seems most battery marketed are promoting them higher than they shud. Not many batt I saw thr made it to 30amp within the safe zone. Usually safe up til 20/25.

I need to study how the battery affect the mod performance and safety.

mhm. and I can't stress enough on hybrid mechs pairing safety. most hybrid mechs these days have insulators but some like the smpl mod doesn't iirc. getting a hard short on one of those simply for pairing with a short legged atty wouldn't just potentially blow that person's face off but ruin it for the rest of us :c

Wats a hybrid mech?? I'm confused haha

an innie or an atty with a short positive post is a hybrid no no
nods*

Oh so for a hybrid mech, if u fire it without the connectors touching it will short it?

How about if the connecting pin is adjustable like lengthen or shorten it?

Sorry ya bro still learning. Appreciate u and jiml's input.

a misanthrope does no such thing! :c
vapekulture in Jaya supermarket uses derringers as their juice test units and they only sell authentic merchandise, try giving them a call c:
the positive positive post on your battery > the positive post on your atty > positive post on your deck is well positive

the negative post of the battery, the fire button, the body of the mod down to the thread of your atty's 510 connector is the grounding.

if your atty's positive post is too short, paired with an uninsulated hybrid top cap and a battery with its positive post slightly bent inwards could cost the thread of your atty to touch the positive post on your battery or the positive post of your battery touching the inside of your mod which causes either a ground out or a hard short. both which vents the battery. no kebaboom but mui mui toxic fumes at insane temps will vent from the battery.
*
wow, dats a lot to absorb. let that sink in for a moment. but hey, thanks all of u that provided me so much knowledge about all these. notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

well, my circuit theory's text book sill lying around somewhere, might have to open it someday soon laugh.gif

QUOTE(nekkidgramma @ Oct 24 2015, 11:07 PM)

gnomemaster honestly I don't know why you'd want to go back to a mech mod, other than for durability, price and looks, since there are safer, regulated mods in the market right now. Read up about ohms law if you're reaally serious about going mech.
*
well, there has to be a reason why some people still use mech mod isn't it?? smile.gif but the one i ordered looks nice to me and its not that exp on FT anyway, so y not give it a try? maybe use it as a dripper setup for my flavor switching habit tongue.gif

BTW, just gave Luchado's Turnbuckle a try today, my first venture into a not so sweet, "sub creamy" type of juice. and i kinda like it rclxms.gif rclxms.gif
