Hi I'm keen to take up a FD account. This will be my first ever.
Would like to confirm, the HSBC Advance FD requires me to open a HSBC Advance Account together with the FD right? Which means two accounts instead of just the FD account which would be the norm for the other banks is that correct?

QUOTE(starry @ Dec 5 2015, 12:00 AM) You need to deposit RM10 to open Advance Account. Then proceed to open FD. Not really sure myself but this is what I understand. From http://www.hsbc.com.my/1/2/hsbcadvance/overview, it says there's a RM10 monthly fee if TRB isn't met which is a minimum of 30k in the account.

QUOTE(starry @ Dec 5 2015, 12:22 PM) Yes, you need to maintain a minimum of 30k in your account to qualify for fee waiver. So just open FD with 30k. Damn that's out for me.. Thanks for helping clear things up. With all this talk about possible FD rate hike I might not take any promotion till next year now. Damn it Janet just raise it already.
