[FONT=Times][FONT=Arial][SIZE=7][COLOR=blue] Hey all I need some advices on my 1st guitar in my life ... I'm totally new to guitar and I have no idea what to choose and how to choose ... My budget is around RM600 I think , not a big money but no doubt won't buy kapok with this amount ... I have found that Takamine D20 sounds pretty good in most of the websites ... Can I know the price now ? What's ur suggestions ?

cheap guitars these days are fine, and you have a healthy budget
thing is you might need a friend to go there and spot the flaws if any, they are rare but they can happen
you can look at brands like farida, cort, seagull/norman ( i think this is not in your budget but no harm trying)

Lolll I don't have any friends that know guitar very well, as I'm a student too thats like asking a random internet stranger who should be my gf guitars are personal, for a beginner its likely you have yet to develop a sound you like, so just go with the basic stuff. make sure the guitar is comfy (we dont know your body size), doesnt look like it came out from a form 3 KH workshop and what not

Tuner or something ? get one that is most comfy to you, also look out for digs, frets that come out or things you are not supposed to see on anything new these days you can get tuners and metronomes on your phone so its not needed i would recommend a capo or a bag, depending on your budget

Getting Started

|
the kapok brand has reintroduced a new line up and its the best bang for the buck. i bought one for my student at rm400 and it was slim n comfortable and the string action n height was as good as my own electric guitar. and capos dont cost so much.

Really!? Maybe I will check it out later... Besides , can I ask you guys that what's the reasonable price to learn guitar in Penang ? I just phoned a music centre and they cost rm 130 per month , 4 times a week and 45 mins per lesson(JUST FOR BEGINNER) ... Is it the market price or is it too high ?
