I would recommend you Taylor. Although I am not a Taylor's Graduate, but Taylor's architecture students are showing remarkable improvement even in UK Institutions.
Taylor is also approved by LAM so it is easy once you graduate and getting yourself registered with the Board.

Might be expensive but if you are really determined, it is worth the investment. Hopefully

Both UTAR and Taylors are LAM recognized

Besides UTAR and Taylors, you may consider UTM Part Time Architecture Degree

UTM SPACE Bachelor of Science in Architecture

My first diploma which is the Bachelor of Science in Architecture, i got it from UiTM. UitM is automatically accredited.
My Part II was from University of Manchester. Graduated as Master in Architecture. This was also accredited but will soon end in 2017.

I am currently registered with Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia with a Graduated Cert. Will soon sit for my Part III then only i will become a professional Architect.

I did not sit for any exams because all the institution i entered was accredited. This allows you to register for Part II without sitting for an exam.

USM, UM, UTM, UIA, UPM, UiTM, Lim Kok Wing and Taylors Uni are all accredited meaning graduating from any of the institution allows registration without exams/interviews.

And just as an info, Taylor's M.Arch has just been recognized and awarded a conditional accreditation for Part 2 of LAM. That's a first coming from a Private Uni in Malaysia and only 1-2 years of starting that particular course.

Taylor's graduate/student have won numerous awards from local & international competition.

You can really consider there if you can afford it.

I am interested in architecture too, but I thought UTM is full time degree course and you only can apply through UPU?

How about UCSI?
