h.264 is a codec only. You should be more specific what type of media you want to convert like "I have an AVI with h.264 codec along with subtitle (hardsubbed) & I want to convert into VCD. What program should I use ?".

Use TMPGEnc. You can read the guide here :

I did download the program but still the subtitles do not appear after conversion. Any idea why and how to solve this? I did select the option that says do you want to enable the embedded text, i selected yes, multiple times as it prompted me.

The subtitle, before convert using TMPGenc...You can see it right ? That AVI don't come with subtitle file (SSA or SRT) ? I hope you have VobSub (DirectVobSub) install in your system. It's function is to display the subtitle. Do you have codec pack installed ?

I am still having the same problem. I think my anime is softsub and i think its two separate files. If it is then if i wanna put it into vcd how do i mix the subtitles together? I already gotten out the subtitles now is the problem of putting the subtitles in :/

I experience this last time . Not using Avi-MuxGUI quite long time. IIRC, the subtitle itself must follow the standard. I used a tool to fix the subtile (and I don't remember the name).

We discussed all way long but I didn't have the info what kind of subtitle do you have. *.srt , *.ssa or other type ?
I tested using WMP & MPC , Avi-MuxGUI seems didn't display *.srt (VobSub indicates it loading the subtitle). vsfilter.dll also used but *.srt subtitle still not appear. But, using *.ssa can view it without any problem. However, *.srt display properly using BSPlayer. But, when convert using TMPGEnc, subtitle is gone. It's weird. I think better way to frameserving the video using VirtualDub tool into TMPGEnc. Try seach at videohelp.com (or maybe somewhere). I read the guide..somewhere |
