Oh wow. I watched this today just after i watched 1st ep of asterisk. Definitely not the same

Not quite i'd say.. "Perceived as strongest by many only because of being an oddity/misunderstanding/trick/accident/luck, when in real is actually the complete opposite" setting is quite normal i'd say in nowadays series. Take Toradora (Ryuji), Trinity Seven, Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou, Hataraku Maou sama (when they're on Japan), Freezing, Absolute Duo, Tears to Tiara and many more... in fact you can put Infinite Stratos into something along that setting too, because of how the main lead guy breaks the perception that IS can only be piloted by females, which makes him an oddity, and somewhat became a huge focus in the school, when in real he is a sucky IS pilot lol.

When it comes to boy + girl kind of setting, i think Japan pretty much has used everything.

When I first saw her I thought that it was the Watamote girl, Tomoko Kuroki grown up.
The I checked the CV list..... OMG, it is her.

Some scenes were different from the manga, it was somewhat easy for me to accept lel

Why couldn't some ln writers actually have differ train of thought like Nisio Isin and Narita Ryougo? Most ln bs have been almost the same...

IKR! This anime seems to be one of the best in this season (OPM remain on the top).

OPM is too overhype for it own sake...but it a great anime slayer....

i have similar opinions.

its a bit sad though, because asterisk definitely have more production quality/budget put into it.
just the op/ed and animation/art etc beats rakudai lol.

it just... falls short. for reasons i could barely put into words

well in term of arts..i sorta like rakudai last 2 eps..when the screen fades into black and white..it shows emotion the MC is fighting through...

for asterisk..it just those fight scene which was rendered nicely...and ppl who aim for boobies LOL...

but yea asterisk have more plot to open...as compare to rakudai the plot fall together just nicely...

well about that... i blame the director direction lol.

Just finished the anime and hooked to read whole 9 volume of the light novel (fan translate) within 2 days. This novel and anime is unexpectedly gooding for harem and weak-to-strong genre.

Well, the guy n the girl for graduate from virgin in 9th volume. They totally deserve it.
