I'm sure people are aware of this game, and me and a few friends on Steam have been playing it for quite a while. Just surprised that there's no discussion thread about the PC version.

The game is still just RM38 but the downside is that there's still no ASIAN or ASEAN servers up and running. It's still more than acceptable though, we've tested on Oceania and US-West servers, and the lag compensation is quite good. You can still defend and attack without much connection issues.

They say it's coming but not sure when. I would assume they'll have the Asian servers when the game is released on Asian PSN.

One of the few games out there that you can do cross-platform against PS4 players.

Anyone else already playing? Feel free to discuss the game or to arrange any group activities.

EDIT: EAST-ASIA and SEA-ASIA servers are up and running.

One of my favourite games. When the lag doesn't make hou rage.

If only there's a SEA server i would have enjoyed it a little bit more. Still a fun game though.

been playing alot, with ping over 200 everytime

been playing with friends almost everynight until the ping spike make rage quit =.=

I get around 270 ping,always playing on US East.Not much lag. If more than 400 ping,you can go and rage quit.

can be very annoying, especially during Solo Duel. lost few matches because of the ping.

I think it's quite amazing that the game is still playable as long as it's under 340ms. I dont notice a huge difference when playing with 200-250ms ping with offline season against A.I

btw, managed to find a ranked match in Asia server, my ping is 60-70. not bad. SEA server still no game by the time I played.

nice, tested yesterday on asia/ sea server. ping 50~80 at asc while 100~120 in japan server. damn cool without the delay when playing US. score and hit more. no more ball auto bounce back...... dont know it alraedy appear for so many day ha.

played a Ranked Double match in EU server. first half of the game the score is 0-3 (my team is 0) and my teammate start cursing me. Keep saying "my teammate sucks" . In the end, we won the match by 6-5 (I scored 4). Best comeback ever.

Managed to record it, but I screwed up the mic and webcam .

Check the first match.

That's why I kept audio chat off. Even teammates. If I ever need to use one, it'll be with friends and we have Skype/Discord for that. The higher you climb in ranked the more toxic it gets.

I have always been playing only unranked though, never thought of touching rank. But today they fixed some RP : MMR ratio. Now to get my friends to play consistently....

Are you using controller to play? It is recommended.

Yup same with my friend who uses Unifi yesterday on the game we played. I thought it was server issue then next game he's still high ping.

I'm Maxis and ping was okay yesterday.

HAHA, TM issue again. japan server playable but seems quite lot of spike in the line.

If you want heavy customization on the Delorean, you won't get it here. You can only change the color. If you're BTTF fan and can ignore the lack of customization, go get it. I have so much fun using it last night during online matches.

Biased opinion because BTTF. But the sound effects and the whole package on how the car behaves just sells.

Bonus of it being one of the best handling so far to me.

Tried to play on SEA servers yesterday both unranked and ranked. Couldn't find a game at all.

Switched to East and got JPN servers a few times but the ping was identical to OCE(AUS/NZ).

This rm5 prolly wont go down much or at all. RM10 will go down whenever next dlc is near like the Supersonic one with Takumi and dominus? It was 7.50 when revenge of the battle cars released. 25% down.
Candycorn boost is really nice. But BTTF too good sound effect that's why still using it.

As far as I know there's only Ranked games but I guess you could organize a tournament with private matches between teams.

Hmmph would wish to have a big event where there is solo and team games held online and offline venue. Would be cool!

Good luck looking for ranked games on ASC(ASEAN) server, its like once in every blue moon. I haven't played ranked since the Asian servers were released.

As far as toxic community goes, there's always a few idiots out there. Although I get annoyed with teammates antics, I usually just use the #@! thing. Not bothered to chat until the game ends.

Guys, any of you experiencing very high ping with the ASC servers? I've been getting like 300+ since launch (even USW servers have better ping for me lol). Only playing on JPN now.

Using Streamyx 8mbps, my bro-in-law using the same package also experiencing this. We are both in Kuantan.

BTW I want to setup a Discord server ( https://discordapp.com/ ) for Malaysian Rocket Leaguers, wondering if you guys wanna join? Its text/voice chat is much much more stable than Steam's and they have Singaporean servers.

yep, my fren who's on VIP5 suffers from 300ping on some ASC servers, the rest he gets below 60. I think its because TM has poor connections to some of the servers in SG and TH.

ASC(ASEAN servers) can range from 30-80ms. But have cases where it shoots up to 180ms in some SG servers.
JPN is a bit erratic from 92 on some and then 200ms on others.

I'm mostly playing the game non-competitively now but I don't mind a few ranked games (esp in Doubles). Just to note, I have good and bad days.

who doesn't? If you're decent in the basics like not fully committing to the ball every-time, defence clearing and basic scoring, I'll prefer you any day instead of the usual unranked players.

Not sure if you've figured that out but you need to stop boosting once you reach supersonic (2 purple trails from the back wheels). Boost management is very important so balance it between Flip to gain speed, or boost to gain speed or boost-half flip-half to reach supersonic.

Doing good in Semi-Pro I must say. Keep it up and you'll be competitive very soon. Aim for aerials next.

Do you play using a keyboard and mouse or controller? Recently I bought a controller for this game, but am struggling hard to get used to it since I have been playing with keyboard and mouse.

Jokes aside, that is nice. The devs have done a great job integrating crossplay.

On a side note,
It seems that the more time I spend in the ASC servers the more wankers keep popping up. There's always one or two players on each side of team taking pops at players who are lower ranked/made a few mistakes.

If you're angry, there's no need to insult players making mistakes. Might as well layoff the chat button and take PMS pills.

The "What a Save!" chat is used too commonly for the wrong reasons. :\

Having been a fan of the Breakout car, I was looking forward to getting Dominus, and so far it's been a great experience using it.

Anybody actually have the "Collector's edition" and therefore access to Masamune and the other car?

Not unless u manage to get it from EU. It's physical copy with 1 key to tie all dlcs in one. NA launch July 4th. No Asia launch. The only way u can get those cares is prolly July 17th.

To my surprise, aftershock has the same hitbox as dominus. Exactly same. So I know I'll enjoy that car. And Masamune that ricey car is in between breakout and dominus. It'll be a "main" car once I get it. I just can't wait to get their wheels on other cars. Finally some rice.

Where do you check out the hitboxes btw? It's quite interesting that aftershock, of all cars, has the same hitbox as dominus.

when u play against the best team in australia and your mates just gave up in the first second saying , well guess what, they are the best here and dont waste time, then proceeded to quit.

I think the issue is probably the servers (hardware-side) they're using and not the location.

Sometimes even with decent ping I get rubberbanding issues during various intervals.

yeah, i've been in the same situation, ping is like 54-80 and all of a sudden you get a rubberbanding spike.

that said, I experienced some really bad ping with Asia Central servers the past few days, going all the way to the 160-190 range with rubberbanding. Surprisingly enough, I was playing on US West with 296 and while it wasn't the smoothest ride, the rubberbanding was minimal.

There's someone in reddit who does it. And yes it is weird that aftershock has the exact same hitbox ad dominus. But I really like the dominus hitbox (not really the looks) so aftershock is a fresh change yet easy to control I guess.

HK server's fucked up. We are all queueing JPN nowadays. Under 100ms, quick finds, very playable.

Hahaha yeah. A great advice someone once told me is "go to where the ball will go, not where it is right now". Also try to use ball cam ASAP, it's really clunky at first but pays off.



Yeah I've given up on ASC a long time ago, JPN FTW. There will always be some random pulsating lag, like naik sampan. Plus with the high amount of saltiness, no thanks. People are really chatty there which is great but mannnn the sampan & salt

I'd say you get quite a lot of salt on the OZ servers as well xD i had this one day when i was playing pretty bad, and this asshat was like "how does it feel to get beaten so hard by a ps player?" and i was like "are you saying ps players are bad or something?" and he was like "yeah, most of them are". i didn't know what to say at that point, it's like he was trying to insult me, but it really came across as if he cared about my wellbeing or something. it was disturbing.

btw, after writing that whole story, i realize i'm not 100% sure i understand what salty means, boleh tunjuk ajar sikit?

You just have to accept that salt is prevalent in every region.

I tend to just try and play as well as I could and see how they react.

Most salty players suck either way so if they become your opponents it's better.
They'll probably just rage quit when you make them eat their words.

true that. i know when i'm starting to feel the burn that it's probably time to quit playing for the day cause you're just not in the right frame of mind to play well anyways.

Rocket league server for ASIA SE is so bad again after the major update.

I think it's more to do with the quality of the servers they employ in ASIA SE. I've been using ASIA EAST and it's been smooth sailing.

Me thinks they buy those cheap servers(with poor hardware configs) which would explain the sudden and random rubberbanding and choppy lag.

Is anyone interested in a local online 1v1 and/or 2v2 competition? Might be fun to setup our own little league, build the community into a bit more structure, what do you guys think?

I'm okay with this I guess.

But the problem with organizing anything in our local community is finding time when everyone can be online at once.
