ATOPICLAIR.
It comes in two forms. Cream (to treat breakouts) and lotion (for maintenances). It does not contain steroid. Available at pharmacies. 40ml cream cost around RM50. |

There is no cure for eczema. He just need to grow out of it. My daughter had that when she was young. Her fingers drys up, cracks and bleed. Not a pretty sight.
We could only put some lotion to keep the skin moist and prevent it from drying up. |

when i got eczema, i use this "Ezerra Cream"
Ezerra Cream is a non-steroidal cream which is able to treat and moisturise simultaneously which helps to relieve symptoms of dryness, itchiness and inflammation. It is recommended for mild to moderate cases of atopic dermatitis, particularly in infants and children Atopic Dermatitis. Ezerra Cream is formulated with plant extract that can be used safely on newborn as young as five (5) months. http://e-healthmax.com/product.php?id_product=259 another one u can use is this "PHYSIOGEL™ AI Cream" PHYSIOGEL™ AI Cream is clinically proven to strengthen and repair the skin’s moisture barrier to provide relief from dry, itchy skin. • Contains PEA1 to relieve itching and redness associated with dryness Promotes long-lasting moisturisation to make skin less sensitive • Hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic • Free from preservatives, perfumes and colourants http://www.gemfive.com.my/physiogel-hypoal...CFUMrjgodNoEAHQ both of the product are sold in local guardian / watson/ caring pharmacy, n they are quite expensive, so i use it only during night time when i go to sleep, where unintentional scratching will happen at night (u feel itchy when sleeping n will keep scratching until bleeding without knowing, then the next day, blood everywhere). also do note that the " Ezerra Cream " you may think this is a baby product, but it works for me. i am 30 years old hope this helps This post has been edited by MechaLEE: Oct 2 2015, 01:36 PM |

Try to find out what could trigger or worsen the eczema. In my case if i have an open wound, it will turn into eczema and made worse by milk. So when that happens I stay off from milk-based products. Found this out after doing a food allergy blood test with my dermatologist at SJMC.

Probiotics and fish oil consumption can also help eczema.
Whether it demonstrates any positive effect or not, the above are still important for everyday health and should be implemented. http://pennstatehershey.adam.com/content.a...0054#Prevention https://umm.edu/health/medical/altmed/condition/eczema |

Thank you. This doctor's credentials looks suitable and in line with your nephew's problems:Dr. Kent Woo Chee Keen "He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. He sees both pediatric and adult patients with allergic diseases. Special Interest : Asthma, Food Allergy, Atopic Dermatitis (Eczema)" http://gleneagleskl.com.my/find-a-doctor/?doc_code=226 As a layman, I look for doctors that take a holistic view, in this case his profile indicates an in-depth knowledge in food allergies, eczema, and experience with children. |

Perhaps your sister should avoid all foods which your nephew is sensitive/allergic to so she can breast feed him.go google how long the body requires to get egg/flour out of the system , then wait for that amount of time + 1day (insurance) before breastfeeding him. |

Perhaps you should:
1) avoid all food that he is sensitive to 2) aqueous cream and ezerra can help in mild form *Heavy form might need steroid Advisable to bring him to see a paediatrician This post has been edited by engyr: Apr 7 2016, 09:41 PM |

It is recommended you go for a food allergy test with your doctor to find out whether is it food or environmental factors which is causing your eczema.
I got very sick when I cut out many essential food and in the end I found that I was not allergic to any of them. My eczema was not improving. Only after the food allergy test that I found out that my skin condition was due to environmental factors. Need to moisturise the skin after bath and constantly applying lotion throughout the day. |

Went to see Dr Ting yesterday.
Was using Dapsone for Ayer and it works but unfortunately I am now in mine to it. Have to lay off for 2 months than start again. He I gave me Zyrtec (anto histamine) and some cream to manage the condition for 2 months. I asked him about the latest treatment is injecting something is and it cost RM 70k for a year treatment 😱 Seems a few people has taken it and paid for by their insurance company but these are the really bad cases with no other options. |

Be careful about using steroids cream to treat your eczema.
Overusing it will screw up your immune system and you will be dependent on it. Furthermore, there are side effects for using steroids for long term. Please look for topical steroids withdrawal for more info. I am currently undergoing it. |
