Someone in ur house, forgot to switch over.
They using the filtered water for washing plates and etc instead.

Always happen.

Else, ur friend sold u a used unit.
U can argue with amway, but their checking is quite accurate actually.

Ignore the warning light.

You can open the model on your own to check whether dirty or not.

Anyway, open then close will reset the timer/alarm

The previos one, yes. Espring not anymore.
Auto countdown timer.
Unless u got a tool to reset it. Macam reset car meters tools.

I will do so next time, thanks.

Espring dun work this way my dear.

Ur filter got a pre filter. U can wash it.
If ur water is badass dirty, do a routine wash on prefilter inside it. Easily take out one.

BUT this will not reset the timer. NOR open close will.
Unless its the previous model. Can set on the machine itself.

And do not attempt to off electricity to stop timer, it wont work either. And it will spoil the chip faster. Trust me, i am a certified sinkalan espring user.

No regret la.

Go compare the water side by side.
Drink it. Instant can feel the diff d.

Even the 2nd gen and 3rd gen (espring) can feel the diff.
Thats why i always fill up at home. Office one tak sedap.

i use elken...they dnt count by liter...they call me once a year to follow up for filter change
and how does amway even know it reach 5000L???...hahahaha

Inside got a tube with uv lamp.
The water goes thru sensor. Tats how they know how much litres used.

I cut open the filter in donut shape, put inside car to absorb smell.

Then wirelessly connect to top cover. When due, the top cover will display icon d.

Oh, so I'm guessing the call centre calls at an estimated time frame and asks you for the reading.
*
No la... No call center going to call you.
The unit will beep. Till you replace it.

I'm an unvoluntary user. (Not my purchase)

The filter element has a countdown timer. It also have a water volume measure. I can rant and rant how much this filter is a con case. I have simple question Amway will not be able to avoid.

If i buy new filter, use it for 1 day, then turn it off. Then 365 days later turn it on, and the filter requires to be replaced. So there is timer. It does not justify the UV lamp is not reliable, the bacteria already incubate or the filer deteriorated. In the end its just con case. When the filter is programmed to be replaced even before you hit 5000 litres it is already a con. Waiting to hack this stupid unit, so i will never ever need to pay RM500 for that cartiudge ever again.  vmad.gif

The 2nd gen can do this. Reset without replacing filter.
And too many people did not replace but just reset.
When the filter elements deteriorate, water quality is bad, they went to complain say unit faulty instead. Some even have their uv burnt, and dont know how they got their board fried.

Tats why now they use this new kind of filter.

I believe the system is hackable now, cos got people come and collect for "recycle" purposes.

My in-law's place using this. Installed in Nov 2014. Changed the filter in Feb 2015, and then in end April 2015, machine beeping to ask for replace cartridge. Called MLM agent who sold this to check. Agent suspect faulty unit Removed entire unit, took it to HQ in PJ and plug in computer. Agent came back with printed report indicating have used 5000L. Replaced filter and was charged RM550 (plus service charge). Assumed problem was with our excessive usage. Changed usage pattern to minimal (similar like your case. Morning and night cooking only).

Been using it until 2 weeks ago, beeped for replace cartridge again. Another RM550.. sigh... Suspect something wrong with the filter and it is not producing accurate usage of 5000L. Agent claiming it can last more than 1 year is also not true. I have used 3 filters this year ady!
Looking to replace this filter with a more economical option.
*
this case, u can direct complain to amway already!
ask them show u how to use 15k liter a year. show them your water bill also.
impossible our gomen water meter is weaker than espring meter.

complain that agent also.
burn his house beat his mother!

show water bill also not good proof. Coz they can say that I took the machine to be used in some kopitiam or something. Proof of home water bill does not mean that the machine is there all the time... sigh...

complain agent also no use coz agent would say it the company's product is like that.. and the company can churn out printed report indicating date of installation and litres of water filtered... but how accurate is this reading... i have my doubts...  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

hm....true also.
