is this discussion still going? i just found some card boxes at Speedy Video recently and bought them just for kicks.. they were about RM5 each with 2 stacks of cards and 3 booster packs in them.. i doubt they're original but i just wanted to rekindle the memories.. already quit since Generation 2 came out because i couldn't afford it before.. now i have to admit i'm extremely lost with all the new cards and whatnot

also anywhere i can find a bunch of energy cards for the new generation cards? the cards i got from the store didn't have any energy cards in them

do people still use Gen1/2 cards in tournaments? i remembered collecting so hard when i learnt about the tournaments in Bangsar shopping complex, but by the time i got a formidable deck, the shop already closed down, so the deck has been sitting in a box ever since
and i was certain the speedy video ones are fake like i said, i bought them just for the heck of it, because i haven't bought any pokemon cards in a long time

According to the Shopee seller, he got the box direct and sealed from the distributor and he has been selling this for years. But out of hundreds of package that I've opened, this is the first time I've seen transparent pack. All 10 packs.

possibly a resealed booster. i got 1 from a legitimate seller as well. i suspect the distributor is at fault or unaware of the stocks they were given.
mine was from a sealed trainer tool kit 2023 version. the cards inside the booster were flipped front to rear, different from the other 3 booster pack

Is it cheaper to buy Japanese Pokemon cards online or is it cheaper to buy it at the shop in Japan ?

i recall it was roughly the same when yen was at 0.040 conversion rate (i was there). so it should be cheaper now as the rate is now 0.032

Japan cards now cheaper. Very recommended if you don't have english cards childhood obsession.
