Asked and thy shall be enlightened!

IFast = FSM = same company, diff division.

With IFAST you need to go through agent Licensed financial planner. The agent Licensed financial planner will then hold your hand softly and gently, mollycuddly with you to walk the investment mine-field together-gether.

With FSM, nobody gives a SH1T abt you! Everything you kow-tim yourself from filing up the forms to submitting it.

For the "hold your hand softly and gently, mollycuddly with you to walk together-gether along the investment minefield" package it is 3% upfront + 1.5 % annual advisory fee. Thereafter any switching will be free of charge.

For the "Nobody gives a SH1T" package: 2% up front and 1% or RM 25.00 per switching whichever is larger. Sometimes, FSM when biz is down, may give you for a limited time 0% sales charge.

p/s for the "hold your hand softly and gently, mollycuddly with you to walk together-gether along the investment minefield" package, the 3%and 1.5% can be negotiated if you show how BIG your cheque amount.

Thanks, this gives clearer picture now.

So can I conclude that iFast is for big player or someone do a lot of switching while FSM is for small player or someone rarely switch? I think it's good enough for me to start with FSM first.

Appreciate your kind explanation very much.

I read somewhere that if we want to enjoy the new member benefits of 1% SC but haven't decided on what fund to invest into we can put our money into money market first then slowly transfer to equity fund later on. Just want to know what is this money market? Is it RHB Money Market Fund? Any other money market fund except this?

Is RHB Cash Management Fund 2 another money market fund? If not what is this?

Sorry for the newbie questions.

MMF is also known as cash market fund.

FSM only recognizes one cash fund for parking purpose which is RHB Cash Management Fund 2. Of course there're other MMF or CF by other fund houses.

Noted with thanks!

here is the link....

"put our money into money market first then slowly transfer to equity fund later on"
just a note...there is an expiry time frame...
*
Thanks for link. I actually read it from this thread sometimes back.
Expiry time frame? How do I determine the time framework?

To put money into CFM has zero SC but when transfer money from CFM to Equity Fund will incur normal 2% SC right? How do I enjoy the 1% SC here? This is where the expiry time frame comes in place?

on that link...there are FAQs about a/c benefits...
ex...
Q: HOW DO I CHECK THE EXPIRY DATE OF MY ENTITLEMENTS?

and others.
*
Yes I aware of this expiration. But if this also apply to when I transfer from CMF to equity fund why do I need to transfer to CMF at the first place? I don't see the point here...I thought that I can transfer after the 1 month period but still enjoy 1% SC as long as I am using the CMF to buy.

then your thought about that is wrong....
btw,...yes,...why do you need to transfer into CMF in the first place? unless you want to consider the RSP which with CMF is easier?
*
No I don't need it then. That's the reason I am asking about it here. Thanks for your clarification.
