Let's say cost was 100k, profit was 10%. That means, profit was 10k.
Profit drop 43% means 10% x 43% = 4.3%.
Now the profit has become 5.7%, or 5.7k.

On Nov. 30, the executive board of IMF will convene to decide whether the RMB should be included in its Special Drawing Right (SDR) basket, currently comprised of the euro, U.S. dollar,Japanese yen and British pound.

Inclusion is now just a formality, according to J.P Morgan China Chief Economist Haibin Zhu, an opinion shared by many.

It doesn't make sense to compare an Islamic fund against non-Islamic funds. The other 3 funds are non-Islamic. shakehead.gif

They compare global funds. Hence Titanic, which only covers developed markets, is not included.

Then again, why limit yourself to global funds?

Buy everything, but manage the weights:
- as noted by Pinky, go neutral on equity vs bonds
- more Asia ex-Japan, followed by developed markets
- Brazil & Russia - if you have too much money to spend

Dear Sifus,

I have a serious question to ask.

Assume we have 3 separate FSM accounts. One main account for ourselves, a second beneficiary account for our wife and a third beneficiary account for our infant child. Let's assume an investment horizon of 20 years.

Would it be foolhardy to buy the same funds for all 3 accounts? This means if the funds perform badly for a particular period, all the 3 separate accounts would be equally affected. Wouldn't this be a classic case of putting all your eggs in one basket?

May I know what is your view?
*
Imagine this:
You buy Fund A; your wife buys Fund B.
If Fund A outperforms Fund B, will your wife 'merajuk'?

(A) Yes, she will
Then buy the same funds for all accounts.

(B) Now she won't
Then it depends on how much capital you have, and how many funds you (and your wife) are interested in.

China is the way to go, according to my paid investment advisory.
- trillion of dollars will move into China's bond and appreciating Yuan
- trillion of dollars will move into China's stock due to MSCI starting to include China A-share into MSCI EM index

From some free sources...

Bank of America Merrill Lynch thinks so. The bank thinks China will devalue the yuan by 3-4% in the second week of December after the IMF decides on the SDR matter on November 30.

“There will be a gradual depreciation of the yuan in 2016,” said Puay Yeong Goh, a senior economist at Neuberger Berman, an investment-management firm in New York. “This would be a correction of the outsized yuan appreciation over the past year.”

BTW,....(as for me) I would not want to touch EPF for investment. I find that my risk appetite, risk reward seeking does not warrant me to try to seek the possible few % better ROI from the 5.5%....(but others would)
*
The reason some people withdraw money from EPF is because they are worried the government will go bankrupt.

yes, and I need to give credit where credit due. It was Vanguard who told me can get these info from Morningstar. Before this I have to bug insider periodically for these "special" data.
