dandan, sorry to hear ur account got suspended. i just posted info gathered from google & lelong. no accusations have been made. if u frequent cybercafe to log-in to LYN, chances are u just saw the famous conman of FTZ, lelong, ebay, etc called alancydic

i dont know why this guy use my name...i dont even know him i only remember when we trade for egold of $100 a few months back .my friend wanted it...

i think all these are 3rd party scam..

even the man called kamaltam in lelong use my name for 3rd party scam.and now i am blocked in lelong so is lowyat.

I know that man is from melaka...and he always get my products

last time i used to sell hp in lelong..but since ppl complain my name,lelong and ebay blocked my account

he always bank in rm100 200 300 500 and he say he bodek from his brother and sister...

but for this case in lowyat maybe he using my information..

so basically ur LYN ID dandan password could be stolen by this scammer alancydic, correct?

i think the scammer just tried to log-in into a suspended account since the real dandan unable to log-in since yesterday night

because i have no computer in the hotel..

Yup , I always wait untill maybankonline fund transfer appears in my bank account. Never trust the Screen caps , all you have to do is <if you are the conman> call up Maybank customer service and tell them you want to cancel transaction. Becareful everyone

Oh yeah, a coincidence right?

When dealing with online funds, demand the user's ISP assigned email address. For instance u tell them... give me ur streamyx email address n when i email u to that address details concerning the fund transfer, u email me back with that address to confirm transfer but the reply must contain the details i emailed u.

1st that stops scams cuz u have an identity which is the streamyx email account.

2nd if the person cant offord to get broadband then they have no business dealing with paypal on sums of that size.

Am sure TMNet will be happy to assist u or the police on the identity of the owner of said email account. Plus u also have proof of the deal in the email reply (which should have ur details of the deal in it) he gives to confirm the account.

1. My mass-suspension in relation to this incident is targeted only at trade-zone only posters.

2. In that list, dandan has logged in together with alancydic and wilsterman03.

These are highlights from 23 and 24 Nov:

22:43 - dandan logs in (after what I think is a couple of login failures)

24/Nov
22:26 - continuing off the previous session, dandan checked out his PMs. I know that there was a reply was sent out, but I'm not going to examine its contents. If your account was really compromised as you say, this reply PM shouldn't have been written by you.
22:27 - dandan searches for "paypal"
22:27 - dandan logs out
22:27 - alancydic logs in
22:28 - alancydic searches for "egold"
23:16 - alancydic logs out
23:17 - dandan logs in

Coincidence? Possibly. It rests on whether those PMs were knowingly sent out by dandan or not..

erm, dandan do u share ur pc with family, frens or schoolmates? u mention a sister also log-in LYN using ur pc - mb ur password was phished fr her carelessness? or a neighbour compromise ur Wifi?

since u r only 16, its safe to assume "Paul Chan with email janpo" is your family/relative, correct? Paul Chan sounds like a photography enthuasiast - buying/selling high-end photo equipment as far back as 1997.

FYI, alancydic & gang are also constantly on the prowl on those photo trade forums, esp FTZ.

ServerDown last time was accusing someone of doing fraud...which i cant remember the name..

I didn't know you can cancel a transaction... >.< If I knew, I'd have cancelled mine with the conman 5 minutes after I transferred it since he lied about the fund transfer... Anyway I think you can only cancel it if it's to a different bank at the most...

If the real scammer is from Miri, I hope we can find out enough solid information about this person. After all, Miri is MY area.

If you log on from the same ip and almost the same time, isn't there a possibility that you'd have seen him? Anyway, all the posts here about ip and cache and stuff are too confusing for me, I'm totally clueless about these things

Careful with that pic, if Cheong Chan Wah really is related to dandan i dont think dandan would have posted a real pic of him
