Tough budget for a small rig with your demands. GTA V already significantly raised the requirements and there is price hike due to US dollar.

How about these?

Intel Core i5 4460 - RM 769 (from Viewnet)
Asrock B85M-ITX motherboard - 369 (estimated)
Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM - RM 220
Gainward GTX960 2GB GDDR5 Reference OC - RM 799
Plextor M6S 128GB SSD - RM209 (from Viewnet)
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 225
FSP Hexa+ 550W - RM 169
Coolermaster Elite 130 - RM 199 (from Viewnet - estimated)

Total: RM2959 (Techview price inclusive of GST)

One question here, do i need to purchase ori windows when i build and buy a new rig at one certain shop? Cause i see most recommendation provided by expert here doesnt include the ori windows price.
*
That's up to you. You can still transfer Win7 to new rig and upgrade to Win 10 if yours is retail. Plenty of cheap sellers at Garage Sales for it too.

Those cheap sellers windows 10 at garage sales u mentioned are legit? It feels like too good to be true.

Same thought here.  hmm.gif

Are those genuine ? I mean like Legally Ethically Genuine ?
*
Bulk licenses. That's how they could sell it cheap. It's one time use per PC. Once your motherboard dies, its gonna be hard to reactivate again if they detect it is a bulk license.

Please suggest a mini ITX build for me

[Budget] RM1k

[Purpose] Movies, browsing

[Monitor resolution] 1080p

[Personal preferences] Case as small as possible, putting beside TV and dont want it to be obvious

THanks  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Budget too low for better small casing. Unless you wanna go low end NUC that may not play high bitrate videos.

How about these?

Pentium G3250 - RM235
Asrock B85M-ITX motherboard - RM325
Gskill NT 4GB DDR3-1600 x1 - RM109
WD Blue 1TB hard disk - RM219
Cap ayam power supply - RM50
Coolermaster Elite 110 case - RM159 (from Techview)

RM1097 total (Idealtech prices)

Haggle with them to get the price lower.

Would like for smooth exp watching highres movies
Which budget cpu would be best for the purpose

Willing to go RM1300 (Of course cheaper is better)

Thank you so much for the fast reply, building for friend as I have no exp whatsoever in ITX builds  sweat.gif

Try haggling with this guy for Silverstone PSU and case. 300W is more than enough. I'm not a fan of cap ayam PSU.

As you said, no more suitable mobo for my processor socket.
The mobo im using is pretty small in size and have some issue on USB ports that annoyed me for sometimes.
The casing is normal casing (commonly used in office/school)
So i consider to build a new rig instead of upgrade current rig.

And, between Intel Core i5 4460 and Intel Core i7 2600, which is better for future upgrade?
I need to use it for at least 3 - 4 years without changing the major components, cpu and mobo to be specific.
*
Actually, you can still find MSI B75MA-E33 at RM232 or Asus P8H77-M LE at RM285 from Cycom. It is compatible with your existing i7.

i7-2600 will still last you.

if downgrade, will there be a significant drop of performance?

& lets say i want only 500gb of HD..how much is the new cost?
*
500GB HDD is not worth the price bro. RM20 for 500GB difference.

For some reason, i5-4460 is RM679 at Viewnet right now. It is cheap if you wanna spend extra for that. Worth the cash when comparing with newer i5 price.
