HI Minecrafter,

Thanks for your recommendation. Say if im gonna use this pc more towards gaming and entertainment would theĀ  would the AMD+RADEON be a better choice judging on it's price and performance output? So by replacing the MOBO, CPU, GPU, PSI and ram reduction will the spec below serve better for gaming?

X8-FX8320E 8 core 3.5GHz RM599
MSI-970A-G43 RM334
POWER COLOR PCS+ R9 380 4GB GDDR5 RM889
Kingston Value RAM 8GB DDR3 1600MHz RM199
WD Caviar Blue 1TB RM219
FSP Hexa+ 550W - RM 169
Corsair Carbide Spec-03 RM219.42
CM Hyper TX3 Evo RM94.34
Viewsonic VA2246 RM369

Total:RM3,091.76

My advice is dont get AMD..AMD and Intel rig not much different in price..for AMD, you must get aftermarket cooler, there at least you need to spend another 100-200 or higher if you opt for water cooling..

AMD X8-FX8320E vs Intel Core i5 4460..different around RM200+..but the performance for Intel is better and you no need aftermarket cooler..so you make your calculation.. biggrin.gif

This spec will over budget (you have max budget of 2.5K right?)

SSD - change to Kingston HyperX Fury/Liteon S900 for better NAND quality.

PSU - downgrade to S12II 520W/M12II EVO 520W (for good quality PSU) or FSP Hexa+ 550W (for mid range PSU) to save some money, GTX960 doesn't consume too much power so PSU selection is much easier.

How about Samsung 850 EVO 250GB? is it a good SSD? drool.gif

Would recommend it as I have a unit of Samsung Evo as well.

But honestly, once you're on SSD, you can see the difference compared to HDD.

If budget's not a problem, go ahead with the Samsung.

IINM, it has 5 years warranty as well? hmm.gif

I already got 1 old Kingston V300 60GB SSD..its running very slow..yes, very big different when switch my OS from HDD to SSD..now want to get Samsung 850 EVO 250GB to replace it..yeah..5 years warranty..

Kingston V300 is quite slow, yes.

I have one 120 gb one, filled it up to 40 GB only.

The rest throw to my HDD.

Previously plug into SATA2 motherboard..thought motherboard limited the speed..the SSD can support SATA3..but now using SATA3 motherboard..so still slow..somemore its aging already..

Intel Core i7-4790
Asus H97M-E
Kingston 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz

Is this ok that Asus H97M-E install Core i7 4790? will the motherboard bottleneck the performance of the i7 processor?
