Dear LYN community expert,

Happy new year to all of you, this my first time sharing my rig and i must admit i'm a complete noob when it comes to tech. Any problem i straight run to nearby PC shop, usually it's Czone in digital mall. Today, i would like to request some suggestions on the rig below.

[Budget] Below 3.5k

[Purpose] Heavy gaming and work

[Hardwares that will be re-use] Cooler Master Casing, Dell monitor, Logitech keyboard, logitech mouse, SSD, HDD

[Monitor resolution] 1280 x 1024

[Games & softwares that use frequently] Firefox, Gmail, Excel, Powerpoint, Paint, Picture manager, movies, arkham knight, fallout 4, witcher 3, gta 5, and all new RPG games

[Personal preferences] none

[Location] PJ, Selangor
Current rig:
Intel Core i5 3570
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti
Corsair Force 3 SSD 120 GB
WDC WD10EZEX-08MLMA0 HDD 1TB
Seasonic SS-520GM Active PFC F3
Asus PBZ77-VLXZ 6GB
DDR RAM 4GB x 2

I'm at a dilemma on what to replace and some i want to keep given the tight budget, is it possible to run Arkham Knight and all other new games at 60 fps and full setting given my budget? Thank you LYN-ers  thumbup.gif

Hi st4Lk3rz, u seem very familiar with techview prices, are you an employee?
Is there any store in PJ?
*
Hahah no, I don't work for them. I'm just a fellow member who appreciates their price and customer service as I have bought some stuff from them.

There reason I want the Mamba is because of the RGB lighting to match my Blackwidow Chroma keyboard. The lighting on the sides is nice. But I'm not aware of the laser issue. Is it really an issue for fps? And I've only heard good things about the Razer Synapse software, that it's very user friendly.

What about the Logitech G602 wireless? It's quite big as well right. Although without the flashy RGB.
Are you an employee hahahahahahaaaaa!

Yea agree, just bought an i5 GTX970 right there too recently. Very friendly sellers as well.
*
HAHAHAHAH I'm not an employee. I'm just a fellow customer of them.

I find their prices more attractive then most Lowyat shops and their location is also quite strategic.

Every time, I want to buy something from Lowyat. I would have to think twice on the jam and the distance from where I'm staying.

6GB extra for the PRO and a little bit better. But it cost RM753. A bit absurd

Oops, just do some research and found that Z170 mobo only necessary for 6700K

Since i plan to use 6700 only, any recommendation which mobo would be good enough for i7 6700 and GTX960 OC
in order to reduce cost? (prefer from asus for 3 years warranty but too many models and confusing).
Thanks a lot bro!!! terence_nwb

Hi,
I am planning to get this build (first time building pc)

i5-4460
R9 380X NITRO
Seasonic M12II EVO 620W
Asrock Z97M anniversary
Kingston DDR3 1600 MHz
WD Blue 1TB
Thermaltake Versa H25
Hyper 212 EVO

But I just found out that Hyper 212 EVO doesn't fit Thermaltake Versa H25. Is there any cheaper case or same price with H25 (but not bad quality) which is compatible with the rest of the components?
And is there any good motherboard that is cheaper than the one I mentioned (also not bad quality) which is compatible to everything I mentioned?
(P.S: I won't change proc, cpu cooler, gpu, psu, ram, and hdd)
*
Don't really need to go for Z97 mobo if you're on a lock CPU. Either choose H81, B85 or H97 chipset

Probably can go for something like Asrock H97M Anniversary - RM 299. (Price from Etech inclusive of GST)

XIGMATEK AQUILA MICRO ATX CASE - RM 199 ( Price for Techview inclusive of GST)

Oh, thanks for the suggestion !
Btw, does the size of the cases affect anything in particular? Would it be better to have higher case? Any higher cases suggestion within the price of the one you mentioned? (preferably cheaper but not bad in quality)
*
Different cases have different airflow.

Maybe you can try the Bitfenix Nova - RM 149. Can fit in your Hyper 212 Evo

Hi guys, wanna ask again

This would be my last build, what do you guys think?

i5-4460
R9 380X NITRO
Seasonic M12II EVO 620W
Asrock H97M-ITX/ac
Kingston DDR3 1600 MHz
WD Blue 1TB
Cooler Master N200
Hyper 212 EVO

I'm still wondering though about one last component which is mobo, I was going to get H97M, but found out it has no wifi support, so I'm thinking of choosing H97M-ITX/ac which is quite expensive compared to H97M Anniversary/Z97M anniversary. So, is there any other mobo maybe which is less than RM400 with wifi support (good quality)?

Thanks !
*
You're better off to get a normal H97M and purchase a PCIE Wifi Adapter which would cost significantly less.

You can always get a WiFi adapter (PCI-E or USB), not necessary to go for mITX mobo, you lost many features with mITX mobo such as RAM and PCI-E slots.
