8GB is still somehow enough, at least for those games without memory leak issue, if you play Batman: Arkham Knight or Just Cause 3, you can consider getting 16GB but if you have SSD and have the pagefile set to have at least 4GB then you are fine.

2133MHz is the base clock of DDR4 RAM, if it is not enough for gaming then I really cannot imagine DDR3's 1600MHz  laugh.gif

how long does the Christmas promotion lasting?
*
Not sure how long it last. According to Facebook, it ended on the 18th December, but they did not make any changes to their Lelong prices yet.

If you want, you can downgrade the mobo to
MSI B150M Bazooka D4 - RM 399

and upgrade your SSD to Kingston HyperX Fury 240GB SSD - RM 399

I've made a few just to compare. Might fit in to one's budget. Although you'd need to add Rm200 for the HDD and also a bit more for the casing.

MSI B150 Bazooka - Rm399
Zotac GTX960 - Rm799
HyperX Fury DDR4 8gb 2400mhz - Rm239
FSP Hexa+ 550w - Rm189
Rm2435

Inter i5-6500 - Rm876
MSI B150 Bazooka - Rm399
Zotac GTX970 - Rm1399
HyperX Fury DDR4 8gb 2400mhz - Rm239
FSP Hexa+ 550w - Rm189
Rm3102

Intel i5-6500 - Rm876
Asus B150 Pro Gaming Aura - Rm559
Zotac GTX970 Extreme Core - Rm1650
HyperX Fury DDR4 8gb 2666mhz - Rm270
FSP Raider 650w - Rm288
Rm3643 (you could save around rm132 from psu & ram)

Intel i7-6700 - Rm1389
Asus Z170 Pro Gaming - Rm759
Zotac GTX970 Extreme Core - Rm1650
HyperX Fury DDR4 8gb 2666mhz - Rm270

Actually no reason to really go for RAM that has more than 2133mhz on B150 and H170 mobo's due to limitation.

Can save an additional RM 40 there. Unless for aesthetic

Mostly for aesthetic but the value ram on Techview page is nearly the same price. Is it Rm200 instead?
Good point there, I actually went for the Z mobo to support the full speed of the RAM.

I know right! Aesthetic is very important to me. I'm gonna customize my NZXT casing too.

Btw the i7-6700 & i7-6700k, is it the same cpu, only one is unlocked and one is not? Or it's different?

Edit : found an interesting article comparing the Zotac GTX970 Amp! Extreme & the Amp! Extreme Core

Any processor with the K letter is implying that it is unlocked.

That was back in August 2015, prices would have changed now. Plus that was on Haswell platform, this is on the latest platform Skylake. More future proof imho.

ATX refers to the size of the mobo.

m-ATX is smaller size than ATX

Budget is MYR3K exclude monitor.

Preference:
GPU with 2 x HDMI output (I need more support on monitor and not for gaming)
Modulo PSU
LGA 1151 Proc
SSD (120 or 128 is sufficient)

Any recommendation on samsung pivot monitor is welcome (I prefer samsung here is because I already have 1 samsung. Don't want the display color look too different)

I want to upgrade to make my pc faster,i play only csgo and its enuf for me.so should i get a ssd then? and will my mobo make things slower? I will upgrade processor later on.i  want to take thing in stages.
*
SSD significantly boost up Windows loading time and a fraction of game loading time but won't really give you any FPS boost.

Mobo won't make things slower.

For games, it is recommended you upgrade your GPU and CPU ( If the game requires more CPU power or it will bottleneck your GPU)
