Hello all,
I want to upgrade my Intel 180gb SSD to 240gb SSD. Do you guys have any recommendation?
*
Err upgrade to 240GB from 180GB will only grant you another 60GB, it doesn't seem worth to me sweat.gif

What's your budget for this upgrade?

Is it? Probably one tier up more then? tongue.gif around 400-ish if possible, and would be great if I can get someone to duplicate from my old ssd to new ssd biggrin.gif

The next tier is 480/512GB but your budget doesn't allow that yet.

Cloning data is easy with software, plenty of them online.

RM 400 can get Kingston HyperX Fury 240GB or Liteon S900 256GB SSD.

You can try Techview PJ, I am not affiliated with any shop listed here, I am just using their pricelist as reference.

The mobo itself also comes with microphone and earphone jack too (at rear) and the case you mention also got the 2 slots you need.

Intel Core i7 6700K - RM 1499
Asus Z170 Pro Gaming - RM 759
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (8GB x 2) DDR4 3000MHz RAM - RM 630
MSI GTX980 4GB GDDR5 OC Twin Frozr V - RM 2459
Kingston HyperX Fury 240GB SSD - RM 385
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 215
Seasonic M12II EVO 620W - RM 409
Corsair Hydro H55 - RM 269
Phanteks Enthoo Pro M - RM 359
Dell U2414H IPS - RM 1049

Total: RM 8033 (Techview price inclusive of GST)

Non-oc build can save you at least 1k which you can use to get 27 inch QHD monitor or GTX980Ti (not useful if light gaming) etc.

Note: R9 390X is more powerful than GTX980 at double memory size and cheaper price tag.

Non-oc means non overclocking build, if you only overclock by a little bit then it is not worth the effort and money in overall, if your workload isn't too heavy then you won't benefit from the small gain too, the price/performance ratio is quite bad sometimes sweat.gif

If you intend to stay with oc build, then you can consider st4Lk3rz's suggestion on R9 390X and the new QHD monitor.

But here is another non-oc build.

Intel Core i7 6700 - RM 1318
Gigabyte H170-HD3 (D4) - RM 488
Corsair 16GB (8GB x 2) DDR4 2133MHz Value RAM - RM 400
MSI R9 390X 8GB GDDR5 Gaming - RM 1990
Kingston HyperX Fury 240GB SSD - RM 385
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 215
Seasonic M12II EVO 620W - RM 409
Phanteks Enthoo Pro M - RM 359
Dell U2715H QHD - RM 2270

Total: RM 7834 (Techview price inclusive of GST)

Some balance left for Windows 10 Home license key.

They can help you assemble it but not sure got any charges or not (last time no extra charge but now economy is not so good already so there is a little chance they will charge you whistling.gif )

If you get from retail shop, normally Windows license keys are priced at MSRP which can be quite expensive, should be around RM 300 for OEM key, if they have lubang then you might be able to get it cheaper.

There are 2 types of license key, OEM and retail.

OEM can only be activated once on a mobo and will be tied with the mobo forever, but it is much cheaper than retail.

Retail can be activated few times before you need to re-arm the key with the help from Microsoft, it can be carried over to new mobo but its price is horribly expensive.
