hi bro.. Street jam is a really good chassis to start with but it might be a bit on the expensive side. The cheapest i saw is around RM800, but does not come with electronics if im not mistaken. if u read a few page back i did ask the sifu here about getting a new chassis, and he recommended Street Jam R31. I just got in to RC drifting myself a few month back. I bought Tamiya TT01D Drift Spec all in plus all the electronics and the remote, i spend around 1K++. Try and browse around the net, im sure u will find useful info. try and have a look at this link.

Where are u from btw, around KL there is a lot of RC shop for u to find spare parts. Street Jam parts are really easy to find. Most of the local hobby shop carry the item. My advise is to try and fork out a little bit more money in the beginning, and get a good chassis. Not to say that the clone chassis are not good but they tend to have weak part installed, which after a few runs will get loose or even worse, it break.

Street jam would be a good choice.. For the R31 chassis i dont think there's RTR set up for it.. Its almost a semi pro kit (if im not mistaken), usually those dont come RTR.. Some does not even come with the bodyshell.. U need to buy the electronics urself.. Get the salesperson to help u out in choosing the right electronics..

HPI is a really good brand.. But compare to street jam.. I would recomend street jam..

It would be easier to just get RTR set.. But to me, rc car is about learning the set up.. Building ur own chassis and understand the car parts and electronics while u build ur car. That is where u learn the most.. The set up.. The tweaking and experimenting to get the ultimate set up for drifting..

TA05 is a good chassis.. but the one u see on the link is a conversion kit made by eagle racing to convert the racing kit to a drift. a good conversion kit but then u need the parts from the original kit.. there is another kit from Tamiya TA05 called Ta05 VDF.. specially made for drift.. but really hard to find nowaday.

you can get MT4 around RM580-600 and Sanwa MT4 is no way near Futaba 4pks. Sanwa MT4 is a mid range remote and 4pks is a high range remote

if u really wan to compare other remote with MT4, u can compare MT4 with Futaba 4PL, both also mid range entry remote. however 4PL is slight more expensive than MT4.

thus MT4 is more popular in mid range entry remote in terms of its price n performance.

2-3k better get ORI. but if you wan to invest slowly then go ahead n get clone chassis or cheap/2nd ori chassis.
