According to Malay Mail, Johor princess Tunku Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah has closed her Instagram and other social media accounts after receiving criticism for not wearing a headscarf.



Local daily The Star reported today Tunku Aminah as saying that she made the decision to quit all social media after getting advice from her parents who were worried about her well-being and safety. Tunku Aminah was quoted telling reporters in Johor Bharu:



At first, I posted pictures of my cats, but then, people started leaving nasty comments about not wearing a tudung that hurt me.

I realised that being in the limelight is not for me and I am really happy after closing my Instagram account early this month. I am now quite content within my own little bubble.
