if u wana take medic in local Uni, u need to have a stpm qualification.
my friend took stpm, and now in UM taking science majoring.. only RM 5K for 3 years somehow, it's good for poorer families.

SPM ---> Foundation ---> Degree.
STPM ---> Degree.

SPM students cant do degree stret after SPM. need to undergo a foundation year. and

SPM ---> A level ---> overseas
SPM ---//--- overseas but STPM ---> overseas

at least these are true when i was in SPM 4 years ago.
