Its a nominee account, means shares held on your behalf under the broker's CDP.

Letter & AR from company will send to the broker and not you. Your remisier/agent might inform you.

To attend AGM, you must ask for proxy form filled by broker.

Do let your broker know earlier if you are keen to go for the AGM so that they can start to make the arrangements earlier,... or,.. if,.. well,.. they do not allow you to go, then you would know earlier, so that you can make alternative plans.

Let us know if they deny you a chance to attend the AGM - investor rights issues !

i think there is No withholding tax if you submit your WBEN-8 forms to your broker.

If you bought through Maybank KE and it's a nominee account, you will have to depend on them to handle this, bro,... BUT if you have a CDP Number used to buy this share, then you can approach the share registry directly. If you are able to approach the share registry directly, then yo can fill-in the W8-BEN Form by yourself and submit it to the share registry.

BUT : when you first opened your account with KE, did you not fill-in the W8-BEN Form already ?? Pls confirm this.

Then you must find a way to settle yr W8-BEN Form with KE, if you have not filled-in so when you first opened ur acct.. YOU can't g straight to the share registry because yr account in 'controlled' by KE. Frankly, this is one of the weaknesses of having nominee accounts, be it with Stanchart or with KE. The brokerage is cheap, but if their people are not cooperative, then it's a big problem there,...
