Hi guys I'm starting a series of articles covering the fundamentals of SG banks here. Any feedback (too confusing/technical/etc) would be appreciated. smile.gif

Hi Havoc,

Your articles are very well written. May I know your profession? If you are doing this out of interest, your research is damn good! Looking forward to more articles. In depth analysis of specific banks or stocks even better. Do you consider Sg bank stocks quite cheap?

Thanks for your kind comments. Most folks find my writing to be overly technical. I almost didn't publish this post on banks due to negative feedback from friends. I'm in financial services. I enjoy writing so I decided to share some of my insights in the form of a blog.

At the moment I think that Sg banks are a little expensive. I would only be willing to buy if they trade below book value. I prefer the big 4 China banks as they are only trading at 5-6x PE and 0.5-0.7x PB.

The Astrea V - a PE Bond Fund issued by Azalea Pte. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Temasek Hldgs, has been opened for subscription. This fund has most qualities similar with the Astrea IV, which was launched at June 18 last year. Some notable differences as follows :-
1) Public Offer size = S$180mil.
2) Coupon Rate = 3.85% only this time,...

Bros,...

In the Msian Budget yeterday, I did not hear of any incentives announced for Malaysian REITs. Did you guys hear anything ?

In SG, we were looking at Changi REIT earlier, which was shelved. Then in The Msian Budget 2019, they were talking abt an Airport REIT.

Any mention of the above yesterday please ?

Status quo. I have a document from PWC stating so but I'm having problems uploading it here. Will do so later when I have the chance to do so.
