Yeah,... I think so,.... bro,... or close to this,... unfortunately for me though,... since it has dropped below my Average Buy Price,...

NOW,......... you are starting to see my reasonings,...  thumbsup.gif

Wait,... the Rights price is 69.5c,... maybe,... can buy at 68c or 67c,... 60c is too far down-lar,.... but 68c is also okay-mah, right ??
*
Damn ok if in the region of 0.6x blink.gif blink.gif
How do I go about this? This is new to me. Current price is 0.94 I think.

go analyse previous rights issue: CDL HOSPITALITY RIGHTS.

see price at announce.
price CR
price Ex Rights
Price when the rights floated...
http://foreverfinancialfreedom.blogspot.my...rust-cdlht.html
however for MANULIFE US price stay at .94

Cache log price however drop as maybe the $ is not use for yield prop but to reduce gearing..

I could not manage to get any at .80 or .81..yesterday. so i will wait for
after all the rights exercise to decide to enter again or not.
*
So I am going for this third level?
QUOTE
Third Level - This is when the mother share started trading ex-rights and the rights are being traded in the market. The rights are trading typically for someone who wants to dispose their entitled rights or someone who wants to get into the shares by buying the rights from the market.

Why are you guys thinking it will go down to 6o cents?  The rights issue is 41 for evey 100 at 69.5 cents

Therefore dilution is

(100x94+41x69.5)/141 = 86.87 cents
*
Because Hansel said can buy at rights price and since I don't have it, I should be able to buy at 69.5 cents which is a steal.

This does not make sense.  Know why it is called 'rights'?
*
The rights to buy at that price or if don't like one can sell?

Yes, bro,... garnering a lot of attention,... and investors are starting to deliberate now in SG forums,... but too little allocation for SG retail investors, a lot for the Japanese public,... whylist in SGX then ?

Why not list in the Tokyo Exchange ?
*
Tokyo can charge higher price remember? Div in Japan for reits is about 5%. For SG need to put at 7%+. So kasi you little bit. Biar I simpan more money for myself. whistling.gif whistling.gif

This one is a super ROJAK REIT...1000 lease! Everything from all sectors also mashed together.. good property, ok property, bad propertyrclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

Reminds me of  CDO before the financial meltdown.. putting in 1000's of good&bad mortgage can somehow turn into AAA rated bond.  whistling.gif

Gone already. Hansel, told ya there's no justice in this kind of things. People can just orchestra any kind of takeover and it will go through. So don't think too highly just because it's SG. Semua tempat sama.

I don't know leh. Somehow a company without debts seems less risky to me than reit which have debts and will ask for rights every now and then.

Don't know how to go about it for shares in CDP

QUOTE(gark @ Sep 14 2017, 12:03 PM)
Yes that is one trick.. timing is tight. Even cheaper you buy RI from market and subscribe..  laugh.gif
*
The thing is how to buy the rights on the market? If buy from market, the current price should drop to rights price right?

QUOTE(gark @ Sep 14 2017, 12:10 PM)
Usually during RI trading, the mother price will drop (people sell mother to buy + subscribe RI), the more unpolular the share the more it drops, so the RI will drop accordingly plus additional discount. Widest discount usually at 1-2 days after the RI start trading. There are lots of people not bothered or cannot afford to subscribe. We take advantage of this situation.  laugh.gif

RI subscription tho, will have limit if 14 days from RI trading, so you need to get the money ready. Can also subscribe for excess for even cheaper units.

After RI done, usually share price go back up.

The keyword is "usually" depends on the REIT, some can continue to go downhill.. good REITs expect less discount during RI.
*
Few questions:
1) It's traded on the market which means we can buy using Maybank KE online (without using remiser help right?)
2) How to subscribe for excess if one does not even have the mother share? Just key in more units or need to fill up form?
3) Where can I know the trading date? Nothing on SGX/Reit website also confused.gif

Sorry if ask so much question. First time going to try luck.

Hansel ya lo. I want to try my hand at Manulife US reits rights issue. See can get or not.

1. Yes
2. No mother cannot apply excess. But you can still subscribe the rights you buy. Ask remiser.
3. Looks for the details, will announce once RI approved. U miss the dates, your RI become toilet paper.  rclxs0.gif
Dates U need to know :
Ex date for RI
Date RI start trading
Date RI cease trading
Last day for subscription
Date Listing of new units

4. Figures you need to know
Mother price = rights price + Subscription price (so you can calculate discounts  rolleyes.gif )
DPU after dilution from new units
Mother price adjustment after ex RI

Remember RI trading can be VERY VERY volatile..
*
Leslie told me,
1) Make sure got money
2) Just buy from market
3) Then he subscribe. Why need to subscribe some more if already buy from market?

You buy rights need money right (RI+subscription)... if you subscribe for excess no need pay for RI (just subscription).. get it?  brows.gif  brows.gif  brows.gif

Excess not 100% can get one... or allocated only little, like IPO .. and your money can get stuck pending refund for up to 2 weeks.
*
No sad.gif

You buy rights need money right (RI+subscription)...
A: Yes

if you subscribe for excess no need pay for RI (just subscription)..
A: If don't hold mothershare how to subscribe? Can only buy from market. If buy from market what is there to subscribe anymore???

Sorry if sound so noob blush.gif
