Comparison of dbs and ocbc, extracted partly from the edge this week:
Dbs 4.x% dy, p/nav 0.89, per 7.9, price vs 31/12/15 -16% Ocbc 4.x% dy, p/nav 0.99, per 8.x, price vs 31/12/15 -10% Both are solid. Concerns are exposure to China, both has around 30%+ loan exposure to China ... |

Sabana, one of my old fav as well... it was yielding close to 9-10% if I remembered. I bot at 96.5 cents and sold at 1.11 ... I sold because i read one of the research report back then which said that many of Sabana's leases were expiring and mgmt didn't do enough to renew them pro-actively... hence the occupancy dropped and the dividend dropped accordingly as well...

QUOTE(elea88 @ Jan 12 2017, 05:23 PM) http://www.theedgemarkets.com.sg/sg/articl...d-banking-stock Banks had a super good run over past 1 year DBS is already up 40% since its 52 week low and OCBC around 30%. They may still have some rooms to go when Fed starts raising interest rate this yr and OnG industry sees some light at the end of the tunnel... I think I will keep my DBS for a bit longer and see how...OCBC BANK.. who got? SINGAPORE (Jan 12): Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation could have a rough year ahead of it, and Maybank Kim Eng is maintaining its “sell” rating on the local bank. should i take profit and sell? |

hi ...
I have a CDP account (still valid) when I was working in Singapore but my trading acc (DBS Vickers) was already dormant since ages ago... Now I would like to link other trading acc to my CDP account ... (as I understand, Multiple trading acc from different broker firm can be linked to the same CDP account) From what I read here, Standard Chartered is the best with lowest brokerage fee ? I have been using CIMB MY to buy SGX shares... Now I would like to use the SGD to buy overseas shares like ASX ... which broker firm suits me best in this case ? Thanks in advance for your advice. QUOTE(Hansel @ Jun 27 2017, 01:14 PM) If the deal has failed, it would have been announced immediately, or perhaps no ann't even,... just status qo and life goes on. But if there is a trading halt, and after 5 hrs, still nothing , then the deal would have been sealed already,... only thing is what are the Ts and Cs of the buyover only,.... Oh...then seems like the goose that lay golden eggs is gone... now just hope the offer price is good... |

Even cheaper than IPO right? I can't find any reason not to subscribe, please enlighten..The rights exercise price per share is US$0.695 which represent 28% to the closing price of US$0.965 on 31 Aug 17. to subscribe or not? Manulife US open -3%!!! |

I dun keep track my profits on yearly basis... But just did a quick calculations recently as two months ago was my 5 yrs anniverssary investing in SGX... Over 5 years in RM term, it has appreciated about 110% (including dividend which was mainly re-invested), which gives me around 14-15% return p.a... So far pretty happy
I am mostly in Reits, some non reits I bought before are Keppel, DBS, SingTel. This post has been edited by Vector88: Oct 13 2017, 10:37 PM |
