Why is commenting on the low quality of SK = "insulting the meleis?"

Notwithstanding the SRJK argument, the SK is really suffering from negative perceptions right now - which include the following:

- low quality of teachers
- low standards to cater for the rural pupils
- bumification of SK
- islamisation of SK

These are genuine worries that non-Bumi parents have to grapple with. To dismiss their concerns with an offhand remark that the quality gap is just a perception and not exactly real wouldn't convince these parents. Especially when there are tons of stories of SK teachers openly being racists and teachers openly converting underage kids to Islam.

But if you're a non, who the hell wants their kids to be influenced by an ideology that spawned such stalwart organisations like hizbullah and ISIS.

Apa you cakap ni? high school mana ada lagi SRJK? The only chinese at secondary level is private chinese schools friend and these schools are purposely excluded from the list.

the problem is, if the moral studies is replaced by more practical subject, like supplementary maths or programming... then the muslim/malay blok will complain that their kids will be left behind.

The issue here is that muslims insist (strongly i might add) on religious studies for their kids. So what to do with the nons in the meantime? They are not allowed to learn a more practical and useful subject cos those muslim kids will be left behind. Non-muslim religion studies are a no-no, cos then muslims will complain. So wat to do - stick some useless subject that doesn't give an advantage to the nons but can also burden them with things to memorise on par with agama studies.

There you go, that's how the MOE bureaucrats crap out these things.

yes, but certain kaum bayar zakat saje, tak payah bayar income tax.

So yes, only the nons pay income tax.
