Anyone good statistic to back up saying that SJKC is a much better school in term of UPSR, SPM result? I really doubt it

I am from the national school and during my time, English was the medium of instruction.

When we graduated and started working, we were laughing at those from the Chinese schools who were having problems conversing in English.

Now, 99% of the Chinese will enrol their children in Chinese schools due to the extreme quality difference.

Even when you close vernacular schools, the majority will opt for international schools though it will be more expensive. Many will be able to find a way to pay for it by working harder and later opt for sg.

Chinese Independant School....it's like Devil May Cry on INSANE LEVEL. If your kid not the study/genius type, go there, sure die.

So then it's not a problem if SJKC is absorbed into this new module of National School right?

You are right...i learnt English when i was a kid mainly because i was a bookworm and likes to hang out at the Library. I think i finished Lord of the Rings trilogy when i was around 17 years old..LOL.

For me now teaching BM is the challenge...kid BM is no good, now need to buy story book and read together with him and explain to him. Sometimes i asked him to search the dictionary himself to pratice. English is ok, not so worried, he can pick up English books and read by himself. Mandarin, i just hope he has the basic after learning for 6 years. Enuff liao.

Good. Now can the govt please rebuild all national schools to follow the standards of the top 10 schools as listed in your statistic?

Use UPSR statistics as thats where the bulk of SRJK students are.
In menengah good ones go private, rich ones go international school, the poor and those that need help remain in SMJK.

this one is penang in 2012 due to the lack of other statistics.

the result is not that great % wise for the no 1 SJKC
He said SK Convent Green Lane was the top school under the national school category with the highest percentage of top scorers in the state with 39 out of 141 pupils scoring all As.

SJK © Perempuan Cina was the top school for the Chinese school category with 36 out of 298 pupils scoring all As.

Are we interested in 100% passing or the highest % of scorers?

IMHO, the benchmark is on scorers not on 100% passing. yes its' good to have 100% passing but if the number of straight A students dwarves that of another school who got 20% straight As with 98% passing, then it's obvious which one is better.
