Is this real? Plus the 350 rebate only 1k. If real is it worth to get? Hope to get a new lens before promotion end but tight budget.

Fujifilm cny lenses cash back. For 18mm is rm350 rebate. 18135 has better offer but need to pay 3k first...

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 27 2016, 09:34 AM)
Which rebate gives RM 350?
Anyway, I got mine before last year's GST, for around RM 1k, Malaysia set.
With our fluctuating currency, this one looks not too bad.

Currently I have 27mm and the kit, eyeing on 35 f1.4 long time ald, around 1750 after rebate. The 18135 about 1.6k after rebate. Sigh, dilemma to choose only one, now one more 18mm.

Go and get it! biggrin.gif

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 27 2016, 10:52 AM)
I have the 23mm f/1.4 and I use the 18mm f/2 more due to its size and wider.

Anyway, my upcoming trip I must use 23mm more as it is so delicious. drool.gif

Is jericho the one who wrote review on lazada? Or also planning to get one? Just want to know, quite new to this forum.

QUOTE(jericho @ Jan 27 2016, 11:50 AM)
Do you find your 18mm images really soft as what the review said?

All sifu, tomorrow will cod for a used xt1 (if I have money I will buy a new one). Any things I should pay more attention? (Example is it water damaged, sensor got dust, auto focus accuracy)

Also what I need to check? All dials, buttons, shutter count, flash.... Thanks in advance.

check on the leather whether start peeling or not, evf, shutter speed

The shutter is 134-4xxx. Body is ok, but inside evf got a dirt/stain that not affect picture quality... and i found out i prefer xe2, evf on the left

The fuji x-t1 is really... super wonderful amazing extremely good. Its video record ability is not that bad, can record full HD up to 60fps. Before this I thought sony a6000 is better, but its full HD is not real full HD, it is 1440x1080. So, I shoot and record confidently with x-t1. biggrin.gif

It's wonderful, never regretted to buy it when it was launched. Now let's see what can X-T2 offer and may upgrade later. biggrin.gif

I should not compare x-t1 with a6000 as xt1 is more expensive than it. Wonder what will upgrade in X-T2 like megapixel, processor, viewfinder? Also the 4k capability.

Anyone using monopod here? Gonna bring it on July trip. I found one like this:

http://www.photodepot.com.my/manbily-a-222...=Monopod&page=2

415g and support up to 5kg. My set up is x-t1 with 23 f1.4 (less than 1kg). I just not sure its stability, like if strong wind blowing, or camera weight etc reliable or not... lazy to being velbon tripod

Recently I lend my camera to a friend (beginner) and teach her to use A mode to shoot in a bbq event. Until yesterday I took back the camera and saw a group photo which amaze me. Handheld at night, no flash, just increase exposure to +2/3, iso 6400, f4 and 1/7s. Taken 3, 2 is blur and 1 is good.

For a beginnner (which press shutter button straightly at the beginning) handheld at 1/7 (no ois) is quite good to take that kind of photo. And personally I think increase exposure to +2/3 match with iso6400 is better than use flash (more natural). Good job, fuji. biggrin.gif

Ps: The set up i lend out is x-m1 + xf35 f2 (only 1 prime lens so that she can learn faster, not dare lend out xf23 now). And don't think is suitable to show out that photo (girl's bbq tongue.gif) without permission but it is quite decent.

wahlao!!! handheld can shoot at 1/7 meh? my dslr i shoot at 1/40 also struggle like crazy! ohmy.gif

1 out of 3, 33% success rate (Actually first fail, second good, third fail, should be 50% lol). I also amaze by the 1/7s shutter speed, +2/3 exposure and its result.

The lesson I learn from her, sometimes our knowledge restrict, limit us from creativity. Like X-T1 has iso dail, shutter speed dial, exposure dial, aperture dial which can be change very fast. But to her (don't know what is iso, shutter speed and aperture), the exposure dial is like a magic dial that can compensate the low light (actually is my fault coz don't want to teach her so many theory, just ask her to use exposure dial or flash when too dim tongue.gif)

And lastly, @adam_lss, welcome to fuji. X-E1 is a bit slow in focus, but if you upgrade it to X-E2, X-T1, X-T10, its focus speed can reach the border of a dslr. And with it can just throw away all the burden (knowledge) and shoot happily like her biggrin.gif tongue.gif

You don't know Adam that well eh. brows.gif
He is a sifu in food photography and has a lot of stock photos which are sold everywhere and his latest addition is used by Tesco in Poland. brows.gif
Don't play play. This Fujifilm is only for his suka-suka only. tongue.gif

Yeah, I know he is a sifu and very pro. Just I think I am too restricted by all the knowledge and theory, so cannot shoot happily like my friend. Our memories at most just can keep for 100 year (assume we can live that long, our descendant will not want to keep our young age photo with our friend la), so the group photo is just for memories when we are still alive. Less noise or many noise, pretty or blur (if best of coz is clear) is not the most important, what matter is I still can be myself when I hold a camera.

Adam lss, sorry if I offended you ya. This is my thought after see that photo, is a good photo really most important to me? How to set all those setting, and to be praise after the event and upload to social web etc... To her, she can accept a photo taken by phone (before use camera), so photo by a camera is ald very good. To me also, since I am not taking photography as job (just hobby), I think to enjoy the whole process is more important than to face the camera and computer. I know to you are different story brows.gif
