XF 18-55 is an excellant lens. I don't use it as often as I should as it doesn't balance well on my X-E2. Your heavier X-T1 wouldn't have that issue

16-55 or 18-55? both are excellent lens in my opinion? Zoom? Try the 50-140

I got it with the X-E1 and now have upgraded the body to an X-T10; now the balance with the slightly larger body and deeper grip  makes the lens very comfortable.

In comparison (based on reviews):
- The XF 16-55mm is optically better and has a fixed 2.8 across the entire zoom range, but is more than RM2K more and does not have image stabilisation.  I guess if you have oodles of moolah this is a viable (perhaps even better) alternative
- the 18-135mm is super versatile for travel, but also more expensive and does not have that crazy Fujinon sharpness that we are addicted to.

I've tried higher range zooms on my Nikon setup but found them not versatile.

Yes, you are eligible so long it is Fujifilm Malaysia warrantied unit. How is Shashinki cheap? I find their price rather expensive.

When I was on trip, my friend used my camera to transfer her photos to her iPhone.

Nope, will not corrupt or mess up the image numbering.

That really depends on whether or not the other camera allow such transfer. By that u have try out urself. If the other cam can read the sd card from ur cam, then no problem. If it says to reformat card before use, pop it out.

If u are scared of corruption or accidental deletion, slide the tab on side of the sd card to make it "read only" then do the transfer.

I think for XT1 and 16mm's weight... the wider Slide or Slide lite will be more suited.

PD strap is very practical mainly for its quick adjustable length.  Sometimes when I go out without a bag, I can just make it longer and sling it across my torso. There's also some times when the full tourist mode camera around neck is more suited for the situation.

On the 27mm...

It's tiny, its light, its sharp, perfect all round focal length imo and its cheap especially if you get 2nd hand.

Then there's the downsides... no aperture ring means it feels weird when transitioning between lens, the AF motor is not silent, AF speed is middle ground imo for fuji system, the image doesn't have the "magic" or "pop" of some other Fuji lens... and I wish it were f2 instead.

I'm curious about the 23mm f2 as well.

On the strap...

The reviews saying that its slips off the shoulder is just using it wrong. It's meant to be used as a sling strap (across torso) and neck strap.
