Guys, Hello,

It's my first time posting here and I would like to request for some advice on choosing the right FujiX camera.

Basically, I really love the XPro 1( 1 over the 2 because the 2 is ridiculously overpriced, so no to that) but I just can't seem to find it anymore. So I was thinking, should I just settle for the X100T instead? It is somewhat similar to the XPro 1 right? Any owners care to chime in? Is the successor to the X100T coming soon?

Also, I took my friends X100S for a spin last week and it was really pleasing to use once you get the hang of it, so a X100T seems like a good idea too, but I'm afraid I will regret it later. I currently use a mix of DSLR (D7000 + 50 mm f/1.8D) and Film (Nikon FM, Olympus Pen EE, Mamiya RB67 etc).

Advice me please notworthy.gif

You might not be able to get the X-Pro1 new but you can find them easily on the used market.

The rumour is that X200 will replace the X100T sometime soon like maybe this year 2016.

Damn really. Does Fuji no longer keep stock of it? X200. Hmm..then I'll just wait a little while longer to see what's coming next. Thanks

XPro 1 is still available. I know that Fotokem in lowyat plaza still has stock. Can drop by and pay them a visit if you are keen to buy.  icon_rolleyes.gif

Awesome! I'll check it out. Thanks!

Sidenote. Is the XPro1 or the X100T more worth it? The prices should be roughly equal right now.

I like the XPro 1 because of the OVF and that 35 mm f/1.4. But I've been reading around most people say it's quite, slow. Thoughts?

Thanks smile.gif

The AF is honestly slow.  What's your budget anyway?

There's no budget issue. It's more on the matter of what I like to see and hold and use. The XT-1 doesn't appeal to me, and so does a D800 or a 5D MIII.

I already have a D7000 that just turned 5 years and it still works. I'm finding a more casual camera but great results. Something like a XPro 1 or X100T.

Honestly, I have the budget for an XPro 2, but it's simply not worth it.

Compared to X100T/S, how much slower is the XPro 1's AF? I really do love the field of view and quality of the 35/1.4. And that square hood wub.gif

Thanks a lot man!

I think you already have an answer to your question buddy. Get the XPro-1  rclxms.gif

I shall try to find a shop that'll let me try it out first. If I couldn't, it seems that Shashinki is keeping stock, although at a higher price compared to Fotokem

not interested in X-E2s? It's a rangefinder style too

Quick question:

I finally got myself an XPro 1 (4 years too late, i know) and I'm wondering which lens is better for it:

i) 35mm 1.4 - Heard that this lens is slow and noisy, looks cooler, f/1.4
ii) 35mm 2 - Quicker AF, but does it show with an XPro 1? It's cheaper too

Any user feedbacks on which lens work better with an XPro 1? I don't mind losing one aperture stop with the f/2. Is the AF really different from the f2 to the 35/1.4?

And on the part of noise, is it worse than my previous D7000 + 1.8 AFD?

Thanks!

Was using a 35mm F2 on X-Pro 2 today for some shooting day and night. I feel that it's much faster than the F1.4. Just my personal opinion... No idea how it fairs against the D7000 + 1.8AFD combo though

Alright, thanks for your feedback. But I do wonder if the XPro 1 will work better with a lens that was designed to go with it from the beginning (35/1.4).
