Guys, im currently own fuji x-t1, sold my 27mm & 60mm, in dilemma & thought of this 2 option icon_question.gif

1. selling the body and replace it with sony rx100 m4 or m3.
2. or buy a new/used 16-55mm f2.8 lens for my x-t1

sometimes i just want an ultra portable camera like the sony rx100 that can easy fit in my pocket and cover a bit wide range of focal length and also have a good video quality. bought a used sony rx100 m2 for my gf and im kinda like it A LOT  laugh.gif .

usually doing part time of helping my friend to take some pic and VIDEO on their event. the fuji kinda makes me look like some kind of professional cool2.gif , but the sony rx100 just look like a normal compact camera. dunno whether  should i care about "the look" or not  rolleyes.gif

sony rx100 m4 or m3
+ nice pic quality
+ great video quality
+ ultra portable

-  looks like compact camera

fuji xt1 + xf 16-55mm f2.8
+ GREAT pic quality
+ looks very professional

- normal video quality
- portable than DSLR, but not so ultra portable
- need to fork out $$$ for lens (16-55mm f2.8)

need ur guys unbiased opinion on this  notworthy.gif

Sound like you emphasize on ultraportability and decent video quality, I would say go for the RX100. smile.gif

Then again, no harm having two types of camera for different occasions right? cool2.gif

Received the camera finally, I noticed the camera was so light compare to the sibling X-T1, the AF hunts a little in low light which reminds me of my X-E1 days.

The camera is really fun to shoot with during the first assignment, I am really happy with this purchase. smile.gif

X100S
+ Snappy
+ Light
+ Hybrid viewfinder feels like magic.
- Wheel joystick, super loose.
- Grip (probably getting the thumb support)

Guys I just sold my beloved x100s. Suppose to change to x70. But currently I am having a second thought if I should get a XT10, as the price are quite close.

Although my initial thought to get x70 is because of its SIZE, wifi, classic chrome, wider focal length, faster focusing speed than my x100s. I know with X70, it will be a camera that replace my hp camera.. it will follow me anywhere I go daily... go mamak, go shopping, take food photos. But I am actually struggling if this is the right call, as I might end up missing the EVF and F2 aperture... No bokeh~~ I wonder if it will end up feeling just replacing my hp camera and I will start to miss the actual photography experience.

Now with Xt10... if I get this camera, Im sure this camera will 90% of the time be used during my travelling (once or twice a year) The rest of the year will probably be in my shelf. I wont bring it to mamak and yamcha. But it will be fun to use when travel. Even so, when traveling, I will not bring more than 2 lenses, to keep the weight down.

I think I can see it this way, X70 for everyday general usage, Xt10 for specific purpose (travel, family portrait, babies). I will like to know how is the quality of the 18mm f2.8 lens on the x70 compare to, xt10 with 18-55mm F2.8-4 kit lens. At 18mm F2.8, for both camera, will the kit lens on par with the x70 in terms of lens sharpness? On my previous sony E mount system...then x100s, im always a prime lens user... because I find zoom kit are not worth it most of the time. but I heard the fuji 18-55mm is quite good? Maybe I can give it a chance ?

Cant make up my mind... can share some advice? maybe it can ease my decision haha..It will be 3-4 years before I change camera, so i want to make the wisest choice. thanks.

* or (Xt10 + x18mm F2) vs x70? image quality wise?

I think you can jio people here for a quick TT session on this, since many of us here own different gears and it would be really great to share the thoughts and compare the image quality, if you're living in KL that is.

I can't comment on both cameras since I don't really own them, but from the looks of it if you want ultimate portability while you can take care of the babies, the X70 would be a really great option.

haha that's quite funny actually.
In Nepal, mostly those monks aka 'sadhu' at famous temples will ask for money before u can take their photos. One of them trying to con my friend RM100 for 1 photo!  laugh.gif

I found that the most easiest way to ask for a photo is to make an eye contact with them and then make a 'camera snap' gesture while smiling. More often than not they will nod in agreement.
