One thing I don't like about SLR legacy lens is the adapter is too huge for mirrorless camera.
The lens itself is small but the adapter make it look so long. mad.gif

No choice. Since Helios is one of the cheapest legacy lens available in the market.
But my Helios is sitting in my dry box now and didnt utilise it at all.

Ya.. not really suited for general use especially sincr im more used to shorter focal lenghts.

Finally brought out my new baby out for a test run yesterday flex.gif  . I think I have made the right choice picking this lens as my first lens. Love the lens ability to shoot wide + lovely bokeh + macro + Sharp +WR.  Only downside I can think of is its weight n size.

It's no wonder they call it the best XF lens.

Finally I no longer miss my ex x100s... problem when using x100s last time, when shooting people, the focusing is bloody slow and inaccurate... my subject smile until Kaku and I havent got my shot doh.gif  Now xt1 focusing is a breeze, so snappy... almost remind me of the time when I used dslr. thumbup.gif

Are you using the Peak Design strap? I am checking for a right strap for my xt1 now...considering if i should get this, or smthing like the sailor strap.
*
I think for XT1 and 16mm's weight... the wider Slide or Slide lite will be more suited.

PD strap is very practical mainly for its quick adjustable length. Sometimes when I go out without a bag, I can just make it longer and sling it across my torso. There's also some times when the full tourist mode camera around neck is more suited for the situation.

still a good combo  thumbup.gif
hows the 27mm lens? thinking of getting it to complement 35mm f2 lens. 35mm slightly too tele for me since i coming from the x100.
23mm f1.4 abit too heavy for my liking...cant wait for the f2 version though  brows.gif

so the strap in the pic u posted is the PD slide lite or leash? i read reviews saying that because of the seat belt like material, it's quite slippery and tends to slip off the shoulder? recommended strap?  unsure.gif

On the 27mm...

It's tiny, its light, its sharp, perfect all round focal length imo and its cheap especially if you get 2nd hand.

Then there's the downsides... no aperture ring means it feels weird when transitioning between lens, the AF motor is not silent, AF speed is middle ground imo for fuji system, the image doesn't have the "magic" or "pop" of some other Fuji lens... and I wish it were f2 instead.

I'm curious about the 23mm f2 as well.

On the strap...

The reviews saying that its slips off the shoulder is just using it wrong. It's meant to be used as a sling strap (across torso) and neck strap.

I've been using a Leash for quite a while now. Thinking of getting a slide lite as well. Best strap ever thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif
