Guys I'm interested in Windows phone but then I read this. Any truth in this?
It's all very subjective and over-exaggerated, to be frank. The issues pointed out seem more like the usual "app gap" issues which are made out to seem like your daily life will come to a halt due to W10M's "lack of apps" or the apps not being good enough.
I say subjective because personally Twitter and Whatsapp on W10M work perfectly fine for me. Twitter boots up fast and has all the functionality I need. To me Whatsapp has the best UI compared to the Android and IOS version, and I've used all of them due to have differing work mobiles.
Yes, Instagram is still in beta. There's no real tumblr app, etc. These issues have workarounds with third party applications like 6tag, mytube, etc., some of which seem to work better than the official apps on Android.
Other than that, W10M has spotify, foursquare, uber, the list goes on. It depends on what type of user you are to really say that the app gap is of any real significance, and only you have that answer.
