It's okay if they don't revive Astoria because Islandwood is still up and running, and apparently the functionality is better when porting over from iOS apps. I don't think there are any major apps which are on Android but not on iOS, so as long as Islandwood exists, the potential is still there.

Yes Islandwood is up & running. It's in way better shape & ported apps seems to be working well. Look at Candy Crush games for good eg. Astoria is way more problematic.

The only time I hear Android is easier to develop is when u creating super simple apps & games which we already have so many also in Windows Store.


Expect more than RM3.5k & don't expect miracles in terms of feature ya. I do expect Surface pen support though not sure how useful with just less than 6" of screen size. It has to make sense, not just throw in a feature like that.

hmm..maybe the pen support helps designer to draw? continuum and the phone acts like those Wacom tablet..? just imagiation

I've been waiting for this flagship since the first time we all heard about its rumours last year. I can't wait, eagerly want to replace my 3yo L920 with the new L950xl. But now when I heard the pricing for this new phone, I think I'll have to pass. Sorry, for that kind of pricetag, I better off buy an iPhone or maybe any Android flagship.

RM3K with free dock. I think it's reasonable priced.

to be honest, with 3K you can only get 16GB iphone 6s, for 16GB iphone 6s plus, that would be 3699...
and the 3K pricing is similar to Samsung note 5...
if MS market share is higher and more apps support, i doubt you would be saying that is a high price tag...
Lumia 950 has comparable specs with good camera, the main area it is loosing is in software / apps support and a rather "buggy" windows 10 mobile...

dont get me wrong, i would like to prefer a lower pricing, but seeing how our currency exchange rate now, IMO is a "OK" price, only that price wont be attracting many new adopters...

with the 950 price, kind of need to rethink lots of times...yes..the RM3k most probably comes with dock. but then..still pricey for me. Maybe can wait few more months, maybe price will drop (hopefully).

1 thing that we are missing here, 3k pricetag with display dock which you can have 2 in 1 function that is phone and pc. can droids & iphone do that??
