Just to express my opinion after owning 408T for 4 years coming may 16 and clock 90k km on my 408T...

Any one ask whether happy to own it, I will honestly said not at all, 4 years of owning it this is the major replacement owning it for 4 years
1. Aircond Cooling coil
2. Aircond compressor
3. THP high pressure fuel

The last major replacement

4. Brake disc on front wheel

Yes it need to be replaced after change brake pad for 2nd time, and the gear knob broken when the car return after services last saturday, it is good when sent in... almost give up owning it, do not get me wrong, the drive is good but owning and maintain is really killing... wonder how other ppl honestly feel owning it...

All item claim under warranty except item 4, don't doubt after u commit, just enjoy the ride and be patient to own and maintain it

Good for u if manage to get it free under warranty, mine also broken after 4 years coming may 16, the sc said the warranty for it already finish as that gear knob is not part of extended warranty, although when I send my car for service the knob is good, too tired to argue with them , get a replacement from a seller for peugeot parts in fb, instead replace with the same knob, I opt to replace with diff gear knob, not sure from which model

Currently peugeot have promotion for the parts that always "kong", at least for my pug which I have replace it under warranty, 3 out from that 6 items listed had being replaced under warranty for my 408T, maybe this is good for owner that their warranty already expired....

Skyjack, I believe you among the early one getting 408, so u have change to 3008? Though same engine, did u feel 3008 better than 408?

Both my compressor and cooling coil kaput at different time, and both under warranty claim, done it at Balakong SC...

long time never read the thread and input, just to share my experience after coming 5 years and warranty about to end this May 2017...

the drive of the peugeot 408T is good and excellent, no doubt about it, the test drive you have done within less one hour will not tell you about owning it after 5 years ... the excellent of good drive point has been surpassed by many bad things and to sum if after 5 years owning it, REGRET, this is based on my own experience

1. unreliable part, warranty do help to fix without cost, but numerous visit and wasting time visiting just make you 'sakit hati', and beware of 5 years warranty, 3 years is from manufacture and another 2 years is ewp (extended warranty) by insurance company, my first aircond compressor noisy replace without issue but part have to wait 2 weeks, and currently my compressor again have loud noise, and is this is what their comment, as long the air cond still cold irrespective that loud sound from compressor, you won't be able to claim warranty, after mush hassle, they willing to try to claim from ewp party now, waiting the result... make sure you have another car as spare car when owing this peugeot... beside the know issue like battery kaput so fast, not sure the elctrical, the sensor etc etc that drain so much power, i already replace 5 times, meaning battery replacement is on annual basis

2. lousy customer services (one simple act is try to call to make an appointment for services at balakong which is near to my house), few times have to call 1-800-**** to complaint and they will call the manager to call me back and make an appointment... they should at least give good customer services to encounter the issue by the product instead of adding another bad point to their company

maybe i should compile all all faulty happen during 5 years of owning it and some is known issue to 408..
