Just to keep you guys updated. My car finally came back. The ECU was changed and costs around RM4335 - Under Warranty. Also did the 1 year service which came to around RM480. Car is smooth now. My wife pushed to 170 and the car was smooth.

The temperature sensor and water pump changed under "Recall".

Just some update from me as it was a quite some time I didn't visit this page. I own 408 NA for four years now with mileage of 103k. I managed to claim my claim under the extended warranty for aircond problem (ie not cold) recently.

Total repair cost under warranty claim is as follows:
- Evaporator 1 unit RM1,984
- Aircond gas refill RM120
- Replace evaporator housing RM70

I lodged my complain in January 2016. It took awhile for the SC to process my claim. After few follow ups,  SC finally called me to send in my car for adjuster's inspection in early June 2016. The approval process by the insurance company plus the repair took about two weeks plus.

My gear knob was broken into piece this morning after 4 and 1/2 years. Sent to SC but it is not claimable and need to pay RM 300+ for it.
Any member changed gear know outside? Any recommendation or link to purchase it?

That's the standard price for servicing in SC. Did mine there and end of last year my compressor give way. Had it replace and took 3 weeks for adjustor to review due to extended warranty and etc. Not sure if service aircon outside will affect warranty but can check with other owners here. Peugeot aircon not as cold as those Japanese cars I would say.

Actually Century Marathoner DIN66L is good enough. CCA of 675 which exceeds the requirement for our Pug.
Very cheap at RM270 only.
More expensive battery doesn't guarantee it will last longer.

Yes bro.. regardless change or not, service is the key..

yes .. that really surprise me too .. i using silver calcium somemore ..
maybe due to heat inside the hood shorten the life span ..

BTW .. i already turn off the "follow me home" feature ..

I am also contemplating on changing the Head unit. When we change the headhunt, will it affect the settings for the car. ie, the clock settings, the safety settings like DSP etc?
Any advice on this? Appreciate the feedback.

BTW my 408 is 8 year strong. No major issue.
