4th & 5th year warranty covers only engine & gearbox.

Sensors are cheap, around $200.

I won't say this model is prone to list of defects you stated, as not every owner faced the problems. A very few had coolant temp.sensor & air con bearing claimed under warranty. It is important to note, none has come back  to complaint recurrence of the problem. Therefore these defects are not proned , but rather they were qc issues.

This model carries a redesigned turbo unit. No one has any complaints , mine on 4th year, no problems!

Gear box, no issues at all, mine still silky smooth. You may want to note, VW dsg & Frod's dual clutch gb issues are still not resolved.

This engine/gb combo has proved itself reliable already, go for it!

Twice for the compressor itself.
Compressor kong first time, got it replaced after 2 weeks.
2 days later after the compressor replaced, the same symptom appeared, sent back to SC, diagnosed as compressor failure again.
Got it changed again.

I encounter few owners who had this claimed also.
Aircon issue is quite common for the problematic 308 as well

I replaced mine at Renautech RM1.5k with, 1 year warranty

SC price is crazy,they are just killing themselve! The quality of work is rubbish. Often issues are not solved leaving owners regretting buying a Pug. This is the main reason for Pugs to drop RV so low.

More & more owners are maintaining Pugs at outside workshops where proper work is done. I've stoped going to SC for the last 4years!
