1. Is there an official Peugeot 408 club?
2. When are you guys going to organize a TT session?

My rear windscreen tinted after 10 years. When remove my heater damaged. Need to use knife to peel it off.

The shop said I have been conned because quality tinted will not be like this. It shall be like a piece of film that can be removed as one piece.

The tinted was done at the sales center arranged by sales advisor.

What do you think?

Anybody kena jerking at every gear shift? What's the solution for that? Went to fb group they say coz water entered/mix with ATF but i went to workshop and they checked the ATF still like new, no contamination.

Changed the spark plugs and coil packs but still not solved. Jerking like mad still at every gear shift.

Not sure related or not, kena once (like engine or gear box jerking). Only few weeks later driven to Peugeot Service, but this time no more jerk like few weeks before. Car diagnosed and was told the engine mounting cracked. So changed all (under warranty). Then the jerking not happened.

Shop say is correct. And spray alcohol to remove slowly can keep heater working.

Mine 2.0 already hit mileage of 200k km

Kena before back in 2019. That time dunno its alternator problem, drove until the car stalled at the road side.

is already 200k km ... for me .. i will trade in / sell it and get a new car ...
but for the time being .. fix the current problem first, at least it can drive la ..

then see financial lo, green light then will start looking for new car within budget ..

Are you still having this problem? I feel it could be HPFP issue, which is common on our Pug!

Problem suddenly fixed by itself not sure how. It has some very very minor jerk now almost unnoticeable unlike the time i posted jerk very bad..

Hi Alvin. Congrats on your 408thp. You must have got it at a very good price! How is the car? Any issues? Anyway all issues on this car can be solved, nothing to worry. There are excellent workshops for this car. Spare parts are reasonable although a conti.

Many here are old timers and know this car well, so you can ask us any question. My car is on the 11year. Am still enjoying this car, engine & gb are still smooth. Have had a few issues, all fixed.

Ok good. I feel it is an HPFP issue. Just keep a watch!

Greetings, I hope everyone doing great!

I'd like to get your advice on getting a new mid-range SUV like 2008. I have gone through HRV, Toyota C Cross, and Peugeot's 2008. I found 2008 has value for money while the other two very traditional looking designs and more importantly Resale value.

Has anyone recently bought 2008?
As a Peugeot owner, what are the things that got improved along the way?
Is it good to buy 2008 (keeping long term)?

Your kind advice really helps me to make a decision.

my past experience HPFP problem symptom is normally jerking when cold start .. once your car is warm then no problem one ..
i think u can monitor and see ..

Sounds like sticky solenoid. Does the symptom gets better when the engine is hot? I guess you did regular fluid change and the workshop use the correct atf fluid, right?

When it was jerking last time it doesnt matter it was cold or warm engine. The jerk was bad, but now cold or warm also no difference, very unnoticeable jerk

My 408T is in her 6th year. Thinking of changing the car colour. What do you guys think the best option? Carvwrap or repaint?
