[Photoshop] Color to transparent...

Sorry, not sure I should post this here but here goes.
 I've selected the color to transparent gradient, but weird thing is the once I selected the gradient and drag it on my work, it become color to color which can be seen on the picture above. Need help! Million thanks!  |

double click into ur gradient inside. check the pic i upload.
