hi. nice to meet u. since im staying hostel in cyberjaya campus, I'm can tell u that there is very very lack of food stall. Although there is a canteen near the male hostel, but never open since 5 months ago. sad.gif sad.gif haiz... I wonder when it will open. Anyway, staying in the hostel is slightly cheaper then the outside and it is very convenient. You can even wake up before 30 minutes when your class start...haha. And 1 more thing, if u really want to stay in hostel, remember to bring a fan becoz it is very hot when 2/3 ppl in a room.

Hi everyone i am new here . i just finish my foundation recently and im  planning to continue study my degree in mmu cyberjaya . i want to know more details about hostel in mmu cyberjaya  like how is the wifi there ? any rules that i need to follow ?
*
Halo, nice to meet u.
Since the hostel management is changed last year, the internet become slower which is only 3Mbps++, unlike the older one, top speed is 10Mbps. Anyway, they plan to upgrade the internet but dunno when they will implement the new internet plan.
As I know, in every floor, they installed some wifi router so that we can use the wifi on our phone. But the wifi was not stable. Thus, the laptop/ desktop should connect via LAN port. The only thing is u should bring the LAN cable, 1-2 meter is enough. For the fair use, personal router is not allow to use. This is because it might affect the bandwith.

I had registered MMU for the coming intake, so my questions are as follow:-
1. I sent the appendix A1 and A2 to the admission office two weeks ago and do they will give me any reply or any documents to me again for filling? Or I just need to wait until the registration day?

2. I also sent my hostel application form too so when can I know I will be approved? In addition,  should i stay at hostel at least 1 year or i can move out at any time means less than 1 year?

Thanks for any seniors would like to answer my questions cus i afraid i'll miss some information during application.

Thanks for your input. Are there any other websites other than iProperty to rent rooms? iProperty seems a bit too expensive, and not completely justified. My budget is ~ RM450

Hi,

Try to search "cyberjaya market corner, cyberjaya students market, Multimedia University Cyberjaya" in Facebook group.

Having second thoughts living on campus cyberjaya hostel, because many people say that the condition of the hostel is kinda bad. Anyone can share their experience of the hostel? Tq
*
Not recommended, unless u really dont have budget.

2 or 3 ppl have to stay in such a small room and there is hot like hell till I have to sleep on the floor almost every night last time.

And if u dont have a transport, u only have a few options for your daily meals which are at FCM cafe, Dean Cafe, CFC, 7-eleven and that's all. blush.gif

While the bright side is affordable hostel fees, and it is including the water bill, internet bill and electrical bill. They even only charged you by daily if u are on sem break, which mean u dun need pay the fees during sem break. BUT this is based on my experiences from 2 years + ago. Not sure how they manage it now hmm.gif hmm.gif

rclxm9.gif FUN FACT TIME: There is a whole new CANTEEN near the male hostel but it never open until now (at least on May 2018). rclxm9.gif
I can assure that it is already 2 years + they had abandoned it since they had finished the construction of the so called "Canteen". thumbup.gif

Hi, I would like to ask whether it's possible to finish your degree in CS in less than the required time of 3 years given by MMU?

No, I dont have a Diploma in IT.

Then I dont think you can finish your degree programme earlier since the course structure stated that 3 years for your degree programme.

Students are not allow to register exceed amount of credit hours unless you appeal it to the faculty dean for special approval.

Have to appeal in the form of a formal letter ?
*
Yes. But from what I know, most of the case is when someone retake a subject and in order to graduate on time, students may appeal to the faculty to have exceed amount of credit hour in one semester. Then faculty will evaluate the appeal based on the student's academic performance.

Unlike your case....
