^ Actually parking is no longer an issue in Melaka campus with the opening of the new space next to EP.

Actually parking is still a problem if u park inside mmu melaka… some ignornant people will park at places that block the road (since they don't need to walk that far) , I strongly avoid parking inside mmu melaka except during the night , ep triangle is a better choice after all

If you check mmu confession u will often see this situation (but u can't see any now for sure)
*
I consider the ep triangle as the solution biggrin.gif

Haha that is good for the juniors. But just 10 students for your intake? I thought IT faculties are booming nowadays

yeah quite shocking when we enter the class, IT faculites are booming but not in minor intake haha
the lecture even though we enter the wrong class since its weird have any new student at this time
most of the class, over 40 people (tutorial class) and the lecture already know each other well from the last semester
this let me think of the scene in Anime where a new trasfer student enters the class sweat.gif really awkard
didn't bother looking up this long short schedule thing even i stay in mmu for 3 years , until u mention it ,  hmm maybe i really didnt care much about the schedule as long i can graduate

Not yet do internship?

So it won't becoming a problem if there's more ppl in November intake? Am I right? Or it still gonna be problems such as taking other programs before fundamental?

Subjects that require the knowledge of other subjects will have prerequisite condition in place.

3. FYP. Now I am not sure how Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI) structure its FYP (as I am from FOE). Chances are you would have to do your FYP slightly earlier in Year 2 June trimester (part 1) and continuing through to Year 3 Nov trimester (part 2) if you join in November intake. Or in FOE's case, November intake's students will do part 1 FYP in November trimester, go for industrial training in the short trimester then come back finish FYP part 2 in the June trimester which is kinda disruptive. Check your course structure just to be sure.
Just to clarify, the FYP/ITP structure for engineering is EAC requirement.

Hmm... Sorry? I don't really understand what you mean.
*
If subject A requires the fundamentals of subject B, you need to pass subject B first before being allowed to take Subject A. This is already taken into account in the course structure.

So if I'm taking November intake, the course structure should not be a problem right? But many ppl still saying that not to enroll in the November intake🤔
*
They are not wrong when it comes to convenience, having more peers from the same batch, etc. What I am pointing out is, the course structures have been reviewed by many stakeholders to ensure that there is no mismatch. So my general advice is, go for main intake if it suits your situation. Else going for April or November intakes is okay too. From what I see, there is no clear indicators that students from main intake performed better or vice versa.

The June intake is on 23/6/2020 I think. I couldn't join on this date since I'm working in Singapore and have to work for at least 6 months. Maybe the intake delay till July then it'll be perfect. Could you update me if they delay the intake?

First class for the next trimester will be on 29th June 2020

If you can start the class on the 1st week, best to check with admission if you can skip the orientation.

I found out that the dean of FCI, Dr.(Peter)Ho Chiung Ching has left MMU. Here is the link of his bio: https://my.linkedin.com/in/peterhocc

People saying that he's the very good part of FCI and now he's not there anymore, the quality of MMU FCI has been decreasing since a lot of senior lecturers had left and etc. I mean, i dont know if that's true or not but it really makes me confused whether it is good or not to go for MMU. rclxub.gif
*
Curious, where did you get your source from?

and fyi, the deans in all faculties change every few years

Oh, that's what I saw from thread about chosing UNI for Computer Science but I cant remember where it is. They said some of the lecturers had left and that's why the MMU's QS world ranking by subject (CS) has been dropping since then.
*
It is good that you are concern about the quality of the teaching staffs. The thing with unverified or hearsay is that different people will give different story. Senior lecturers or lecturers? alot or some? and what is the period we are talking about? As in all universities, the teaching staffs will change with time. Some good ones leaving, some not so good ones leaving, some good ones coming in, some not so good one coming in. QS ranking depends on several factors too. I am not an industry expert in the field and I don't know much about FCI so I cannot comment on things that I don't know.

Dr. Peter happens to be in my FB biggrin.gif

Another semester, another discrepancy of fees between me and my mates.. all of us are having our industrial training now, me and friend 1 same course IT management, the other 2 is taking AI, yet friend 1,2 and 3 share the same RM2808 amount while mine is at RM3024, as usual, finance division also cannot explain properly why this is happening

Didn't you raise it up with them previously? If the counter cannot explain, request to escalate to the finance manager. There must be a reason to it.

Hi, may I know how much actually is the total fees for 1 whole semester for CS course? I saw some ppl saying that there's hidden fees in MMU. I wanted to know the exact fees, please.
*
Resource Fee, Student Activity Fee. All informed to students, so not exactly hidden. Other IPTS have them too.

Fellas, I fucked up one of my subjects last semester and now I have to take supplementary for the first time.

I'm confused as to how it works, how many marks are needed to pass supplementary? and does it add up with the subject coursework mark? I got 30% for my coursework.

Does supplementary still follow the same guideline as final exam (need to get more than 40 marks) to pass ?
*
Yes to both questions. Make sure you are aware of the exam procedure as it will be online based this time (unless you are from accountancy).

Good luck

Wait so I'm sorry lol, so basically with my coursework mark of 30% all I have to do is achieve a minimum of 40 marks (24% of 60%) in the finals ? anything less than 40 marks would be a fail right? and would that give me a passing grade which is a C?

im asking a lot because i literally have another big exam on the same day, 30 mins after the supplementary sad.gif
*
Yes, correct. 30% is strong for CW, just the 40% requirement is a pitfall.
