QUOTE(FlyingKiddo @ Sep 22 2019, 10:38 PM) Hi. I am joining MMU Melaka in November intake. And have a few questions: Welcome to MMU. I shall let others to answer your questions.1. For off-campus accomodation, where is better to live? Ixora or EP or Rent house outside? 2. For mobile courier, Data or Maxis is better? (Area including MMU Melaka, Ixora and EP.) 3. Is car recommended to bring to MMU Melaka? Or Grab will be fine to places nearby like Melaka Town and malls. Thanksss! |

QUOTE(FlyingKiddo @ Sep 25 2019, 02:28 PM) First of all, Thanks for answering all my questions. 1. CorrectYou can type so much even in a hurry. WoW. Wanna ask: 1. Is the EP Parking space the one where there is a huge open air parking space beside EP and the Main Road? 2. Is there anything nearby EP to get food, except for that mamak stall? (Cause for Ixora, there's a row of shoplot with cafes and also a foodcourt.) 3. Well, if thats the case, Maxis or Celcom is better? (In your opinion) 4. How much is your monthly expenditure around? (food + accomodation) 5. For cars right, can we park in MMU Melaka overnight? Will they clamp our car if we do so? That's a big F for your car man. Hope u had got your car repaired. 2. There is a row of shophouse at EP too. Else just across the road, there are PLENTY of choices 5. Can. No clamp as long as designated parking area QUOTE(FlyingKiddo @ Sep 25 2019, 02:30 PM) LOL |

QUOTE(datlastfam @ Oct 2 2019, 03:24 AM) Hi, anyone can explain me about the President Scholarship ? Plus, is there any scholarship from MMU for Diploma students who want to pursue Degree in MMU ? CGPA 3.96 Is your Diploma from MMU?President Scholarship is not open for diploma intake, I may be wrong so please check with MMU. With diploma and your result, you can apply for Merit Scholarship which covers up to 50% of tuition fee. If you are a sportsman, there is a special scholarship for that too. QUOTE(MultiUniverse @ Oct 13 2019, 01:30 AM) Hi, I'm starting my course soon for the Nov Intake. Since 2020 CNY is coming very early, would like to book my flight soon but I have no idea when will the holiday be for Cyberjaya campus. 25-27 JanChecked the academic calendar (I should check for 2019/20 Trimester 2 right?) in MMU website but there doesn't seem to be any break on CNY, except for the 2 days public holiday. Does it mean that we don't get breaks on CNY like most unis does? And if we do, any idea when will it be? I'm afraid the flights will get too expensive by the time I find out the dates when I start my course. Usually students and lecturers will discuss on their own for nore holidays too |

QUOTE(MultiUniverse @ Oct 13 2019, 08:57 PM) Usually how soon will the lecturers decide on the holidays? And usually how long will it be? The lecturer will upload the teaching plan to MMLS at the beginning of the trimester. From there you can see the planned weekly schedule. You can also discuss with the lecturer in your class, I am sure other students will chip in too.I'm from Sarawak and the flight ticket gets crazy expensive the closer it is to cny. I'm actually quite curious on the study life in a university? How many lecturers do each students have for each sem? No of lecturers depends on the no of subject that you take. Some subjects with large no of students will have more than one lecturer. |

QUOTE(MultiUniverse @ Oct 19 2019, 06:12 PM) Thanks! Then I guess I'll approach my lecturers as soon as classes start. As for the attendance nearing cny 25%, does it matter if I'm absent during that period? As I've heard we'll be barred from exam right if we don't keep up our attendance? Barring is when a student fail to achieve 80% of attendance. You didn't quote anyone, so I guess you were talking to me right? Since I'm the only odd one out here. I'm doing CS degree in cyberjaya campus Ignore him, just a spammer. This post has been edited by Human Nature: Oct 19 2019, 07:04 PM |

QUOTE(Kudoshi @ Nov 7 2019, 03:06 PM) Hi guys. I am interested in taking Multimedia in MMU cyberjaya Perhaps you can do a quick search at other threads to see what is the general opinion too. Cant help much here as not in the fieldFew months ago i visited the campus and it was not the best. MMU fees is quite a huge sum compared to university like TARC yet TARC facility seems better. Is the MMU cyberjaya good? Or is it overrated? |

QUOTE(MultiUniverse @ Nov 14 2019, 06:06 PM) Hi all, I'm new doing degree in computer science, just done my 2nd day orientation. Not sure if I missed any parts of the orientation, but somehow we haven't been taught how to register for subjects and classes yet. Will it be taught on day 3 or are we supposed to figure it out ourselves? I did went for the faculty meet thing on day 1 but they didn't talk anything about this. Could someone teach me how to register for class? I am pretty sure there will be a session for it. Ask the OC |

QUOTE(MultiUniverse @ Nov 15 2019, 11:50 PM) There was an FCI briefing session but we weren't taught how to register for subjects. Asked the OCs and they said to go to the admin office (where is it) on Monday and ask them how to do it. Asked few of my groupmates too and none of them have enrolled for classes nor know how to do it. I cant help much as I have never used the system. Don't worry, you will get your subject registered. First thing on Monday morning, head over to your faculty's office. Ask for direction. At the office, meet the admin officer and tell him/her about your situation. Or could someone please help me out and teach me here? I got to the Student Center part but I have no idea how to continue as everything is very confusing. What I did was I go to "Plan by my requirements", added all of them to my planner. This is my first year so I have to do all 4 subjects offered I assumed. Selected all of these and moved to my trimester. Now it gets confusing at this part, I searched for classes at the enroll part from "My Planner", yep all subjects turned out so good so far, but when I select one of them, I come to a page with multiple sections. For one of the subjects for example, I have TC01 to TC02, and TT01 to TT04. Am I supposed to choose a class from each section? Or should I just choose one for example TC01 and TT01 only for the subject? The schedule looks very confusing too with no master plan of other subjects, do I need to compare them one by one to make sure the subject's class do not conflict with other subject's class? Sorry for so many questions, I'd very much appreciate the help from seniors here.. Also, ask for your programme schedule (Nov intake). From here, you will know which subject to take in each trimester. https://www.mmu.edu.my/cyberjaya/undergradu...ion-technology/ Hope other seniors may chip in on the subject registration thing. |

QUOTE(MultiUniverse @ Nov 16 2019, 11:30 AM) I see, thanks a lot for the help! I see some lecture sessions are labelled "Closed", does it mean the lecture hasn't session haven't been opened yet, or is it fully booked? It's either fully booked or the capacity is limited by the faculty. For the time schedule, for whichever sessions I choose will it be the same throughout the semester? Yes, same throughout unless you amend within the registration add/drop period. |

QUOTE(MultiUniverse @ Nov 16 2019, 11:45 AM) Then that's very odd as I have one subjects with two lecture sessions available, but both of them are closed.. You have to attend both classes, i believe this is for lecture? Also for lectures that have 1 sessions, but with two time schedule under that lecture, do we have to go for both? Or does it mean we can choose 1 from the either 2 sessions? Check with faculty on the closed classes. |

QUOTE(MultiUniverse @ Nov 17 2019, 08:46 PM) Thanks a lot for the help. I've checked the apps and camsys today and somehow I already have subjects as well as timetable schedule done for me. Guess the new system now is that for new students the subjects and schedules will be automatically selected for us? Okay that's good. Impossible they will leave new student out. Yes, it is normal to have 5 days of classes. When the class has more sections or when there are electives, you may be able to arrange your timetable.Sadly I have 5 days of classes per week, is this usual in MMU? I have friends from other unis only having 3-4 days of classes per week. This post has been edited by Human Nature: Nov 17 2019, 10:25 PM |

QUOTE(MultiUniverse @ Nov 17 2019, 10:29 PM) Yes it's odd how we weren't briefed regarding this matter. All of my groupmates in the same faculty were so confused. I see, guess I can't run from the 5 days class per week then. Afaik, there will be a session inside pc lab to teach freshies to register. Maybe they change the orientation module this time. |
