Another potential foundation taker (April intake) at Cyberjaya.

1. Will I give bad impression if I take leave right at the beginning? I have a trip planned months ago happening around mid April.    sad.gif

2. Any park nearby hostel for relaxation/jogging during day off/holiday/sem break? rclxms.gif

3. Where do u guys usually go for food since the canteen is closed?    bangwall.gif

4. Details about dress code.  rclxub.gif
*
1. You will miss the class. Take note of barring policy
2. MMU field
3. There are other food courts and shops
4. Refer to page 1

Hi,

My friend and I are planning to enroll into LLB @ MMU Melaka this June 2016. So, we need some of your advice and opinion on certain matters.

1- Accomodation
http://vhanded.blogspot.my/2007/03/things-...e-study-in.html
https://www.reddit.com/r/malaysia/comments/..._a_good_choice/
- I already got some info from these websites. From it, we are thinking of skipping the hostel, Emerald & Ixora. Are Emerald & Ixora really that bad?
- Is there any update that is worth to be noted, especially for University Green & Bukit Beruang University? Is there any other recommended apartment?
- Are the landed houses nearby cheaper to rent compared to these apartments?

2- Transportation
- How hard it is to find car parking spot in the campus for those who rent outside?
- If we decided to keep bikes instead of a car, are the taxi there reliable & affordable?

3- Facilities
- Any swimming pool, gym, or tennis court in campus?

Thank you!  biggrin.gif
*
1. Ixora and emerald are actually okay. But of course it depends on your definition of 'that bad'. Landed rooms are generally cheaper
2. Parking spot inside the campus itself is limited. There are ample space outside but not under mmu. There are taxis waiting outside the gate but taxi fares maybe a hindrance
3. Gym and tennis court yes.

If you have attended the orientation before, not necessary. Else, advisable to do so.

Thank you for the info.  biggrin.gif Both my friend and I are pretty particular with hygiene and noise  sad.gif  So, hearing those unfavourable comments made us curious about it.

Oh yaa, how frequent it will rain there? And is it worthy to sacrifice the comfort of a car and ride a bike instead?
*
How frequent it will rain? Lol, same like other states depending on the season. car/bike both have pro and cons.

Hi, I am a new student in this semester. Due to some reason, I can't attend first week class in mmu. Will i miss anything is first week (like credit transfer, ptptn) and I will in barring list?
Thanks smile.gif
*
First few classes are important as lecturers normally give an overall view of the course. There may be briefings by PTPTN (refer to any announcement at the bulletin board) too. Refer to credit transfer policy or ask your faculty on when you are required to complete your credit transfer. You will be barred if your attendance is less than 80%. If the first week has 6 hours of classes, then calculate to see whether it will be lesser than 80% or not.

Oh I see, I calculated from timetable my first week class in 6 hours, this sem have 7 weeks so (7x6)*0.2=8.4 hours I won't get barred right? Thanks  smile.gif

What is the total contact hours for each subjects? Also, usually the pre-barring list will be announced before the last week of class. Just make sure you have your justification.
