Just get back the same spec of your current ram to make it dual-channel..

Or, if you have lots of extra cash, invest for high performance ram 2GB kit.

Unless you're overclocking, I seriously doubt that you would actually benefit from an expensive, high-performance ram.
Sure, you get a slight boost in performance, but is it justifiable in its price to performance ratio?
But hey, thats just me. Your cash, your decision. smile.gif

And yes, you will notice some difference upgrading from 1gb to 2gb of RAM. Especially when loading a game.

"some"? well I personally would go for "a lot" biggrin.gif I added 2 GB RAM to my existing 1GB and load times just fly by. I used to get those terrible hickups at the start of every round and now the problem just isnt there anymore.

My statement goes for double when u are previously running ur RAM @ 100Mhz and then changed to 200Mhz. (DDR200 to DDR400). I'm talking about nearly a hundred percent increase in average FPS man! biggrin.gif

The cost to upgrade my RAM made me blew my chances of getting a nintendo Wii or a PS3, but I think it is worth it. (more so due to my personal circumstances)

Give no thought to those who look at you and say "dude, 3GB RAM is just way overkill!"
Several years back, everyone thought 512MB RAM was enough for games.Even further back ppl thought 640k of RAM was enough. Screw that. I'm talking about Crysis, I'm talking about UT2007, I'm talking about Vista on high. drool.gif

I don't have the budget to add another 512MB to my current 1GB. DAMN!!!

Oh wait, i do have an extra 256 so i may use that temporarily. smile.gif

I would get another GB, but the 2 RAM slots on my mobo are already filled with 2 512s each.
Buying 2 1GB sticks will be expensive.
I'd rather wait until next year, then I can get a new PC with my 4000bux.
